There has to be a lot of HRs to justify a sky-high strikeout rate--and there isn't anywhere near enough HRs!  Either BALT has a killer staff (ugh!) or these Twins are xxxx hitters.

Sorry. Make that 35 in 103 plate appearances. I don't see this stat getting much better with the team Ryan has constructed. Hopefully a few Homeruns will come our way.

No worries - strikeouts don't matter. Except if you are a pitcher...

Strikeouts matter, unless we expect our base runners to steal third and home. How often have the Twins failed to move runners over to third by hitting a grounder to the right side of the diamond, or failed to hit a sacrifice fly when a tying run is 90 feet away from scoring? Eduardo Escobar can lead the league in doubles, but he's not going to score if he's staring into home across the diamond, watching his teammates flail away.

Balls put into play find holes too. Not if the pitcher and his battery mate are just "having a catch."

There have been a lot of strikeouts that is true. We all knew that was going to happen with this team this year. I have been impressed however, by the long atbats some of the guys have been taking. Yes, there have been some 3 pitch strikeouts but But it seems to me a lot of guys have been seeing a lot of pitches. When you work the count deep and you have a power hitting lineup there will be a lot of strikeouts.I am not worriedb about the strikeouts, the deep counts and patience of the hitters will pay off.

Sorry thought my sarcasm was evident. I agree.

In my opinion, not hitting the ball when you swing your bat is not good at all. I've always thought that, like, if you're trying to hit a ball with your bat, and you swing it and don't even hit the ball at all--like not even one little bit--something's just not right about that.
