So I caught S1E1 on Delta studio this week on my flight to Tampa.  Not typically impressed with hacking moves, and like any hacking movie, it's pretty clear Hollywood doesn't have decent security people on their pay roll, though at the very least they used the word 'root kit' in a contextually accurate context...

 

Regardless, beyond that I really liked the first episode.  Anyone else seen this?  It's apparently on Hulu.

YES. Do yourself a favor and keep watching. It's much deeper than just a "hacking movie". Really starts getting good by about episode 3 if I recall correctly.

The season finale was a little odd but I enjoyed the first season overall. They definitely stretch the imagination/capability of the hacking they present but it's an interesting story.

yeah, got in to S1E3 today.  I could be hooked.  Too bad Netflix doesn't have it.  As a technical guy who knows quite a bit about hacking, not impressed.  As a viewer... this show is excellent.

Lol I just found this thread, I just watched the first two episodes on my delta flight. Amazing looking show, apparently the whole season is great according to reviews, not going to read any of the posts in this thread until I blow through season 1.

It's one of the finest first episodes of a television shows since... Well, ever.

Taking the red eye back to NYC tonight, I never can sleep on these damn things but I am looking forward to checking out some more Mr Robot episodes!

I'll probably not watch ... this series was too ... not sure what, but too something for me. But I really liked the music choices.

I can understand that. There's no other show on TV to compare it to. I loved it because it was so different than the normal dramas you see on TV. And that every episode felt like a mini movie.

Agreed.  You have to set aside some of the hacking as Hollywood needs to hire some white/black hats as consultants, but putting that aside, this definitely has a uniqueness about it that most dramas are lacking.
