Great article.  Very thoughtful responses from Denard.

 

If I remember correctly, he launched foundation activities shortly before Christmas last year in Tampa Bay.  Looks like they are making great strides since then.

Span always seemed like a stand up guy and a great ball player. This team would have been obviously better served keeping him around not only for his skill on the diamond but his leadership as well.
