Gary Sanchez

He's a top prospect in the Yankees organization and his bat looks MLB ready...Is he the answer for the Twins at catcher? Do the Twins even have something the Yankees would be interested in? He's blocked by McCann in NY, so I could see the Yankees deciding Sanchez is expendable.

Polanco could interest them, but probably not as a stretch drive acquisition.

Heck, the Twins might not be interested in Sanchez for the stretch drive either (not a great time to break in a rookie catcher).

If he isn't moved, he is definitely a name to watch though. Maybe this offseason.

IF the Twins are going to do anything via trade, it'll be done in the offseason.  I don't think management is all that convinced the current roster is really post-season ready.  Sanchez sounds MLB ready:  in an article I found yesterday, NY favors defense over offense in it's catchers.

Polanco straight-up for Sanchez?  Possibly.......

Polanco, Stewart, Nunez/Escobar and Milone/Pelfrey for Sanchez and a PTBNL who is Delin Betances.

:) Well, not really sure NY would jump on that one.  But I like the idea of trading for both if Twins could actually pry Betances away from them.  For both RP and C positions, MAJOR upgrade.

Definitely an off-season move for the Twins.

A third thread on this name. ......he should be a target. He was 11th on the Yankees list at the beginning of the yaer. He would not cost near as much as posted above. Not close.

Would love to see the Twins make a move on Sanchez.  We'd have to be sellers though, IMHO.  Maybe they could be suckered into giving him up for Escobar & Pelfrey.  Their MI certainly isn't lighting it up.

It's not about cost as much as filling a need the Yankees currently have. And Twins shouldn't be acquiring prospects at this time either.

Offseason if anything.

There are multiple players on the waiver wire at any time that can put up Escobar and Pelfrey type numbers.

The Yankees aren't going to just give Sanchez away, they really have no reason to trade him at this stage unless it's part of a package to land a Tulo or Hamels type player.

They might take Sano, Dozier, and Buxton. And some guys later, if they start to hit home runs.

Seriously tho, don't even talk to the Yankees. Keep building from the inside, then kick their ass.
