What's our temporary hole?  We have starters and backups at every position.  When Polanco first came up last year, we did not have a healthy backup infielder.

 

Uhh, More (Better) bat options?  Not having viable PHs for Robinson, Suzuki, Schafer,  Hicks, Herrmann. Bernier, et al, have already resulted in repeated embarrassment in late inning situations.

Don't see the point of Milone going to the pen. Not the kind of guy who will see his stuff play up enough.

 

I think Buxton stays no matter what is done, unless he really collapses at the plate.

 

I'd rather see Pelfrey go to the bullpen than Milone. Pelfrey is starting to turn back into a pumpkin and I could see him actually successful in the bullpen- His big fastball and splitter combo would play up- and mask the fact that he doesn't have a breaking ball.

 

Buxton is clearly over matched. I'd like to see him go to AAA after Hicks is recalled. Odds are he'll get sent back to AA instead.

Interesting, I guess it couldn't hurt. Though if he could end up being a major league starter I am a bit torn, this org is a bit lacking in LHSP options.

Things change, to be sure.  But I'm not seeing how Rogers moves into the top 10 on the depth chart of SPs any time soon, whereas the need for a reliable LHRP right now is paramount.
