diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 Rogers has more value as a starter, and he's been somewhat successful there. I'd probably call up O'Rourke or even Meyer in the pen before Rogers, even though I think the team values Meyer as a starter still. O'Rourke is only going to be a lefty reliever, and he's getting the job done. I think he's a good replacement for Deunsing after we trade him for Kris Bryant.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 According to Derek Wetmore, the Twins are sending Tonkin back to AAA. Who will be coming up? Achter, Thielbar, Oliveros, or even Meyer? I would like to see the team go back to a 7 man bullpen, so Santana could return, but I think it's a bit early for him. So, um... Doug Bernier? Maybe it's Arcia's time to return?

Hughes, Gibson, Pelfrey, Santana, May, Nolasco, Milone are all in front of him. Berrios might be in front of him. In a year or 2, more will be him or better. When will he provide value as a starter, in all likelihood? At best, he'll be a 5th/spot starter the next few years (or, they are in REAL trouble if he is a top 3 starter for this team, that means a lot of the above are bad or hurt). His value to THIS team, is either as trade bait, or a RP.
