Same old Hicks. Flailing at pitches in the dirt. Never got a fastball, because he never proved that the pitcher needed to throw one. Just one at bat, but I expected a little better.

I didn't see it (nor am i Halsey) but might it have been one of those "hit and run, and wait at second to see if it is a double or a fly out"?

I think you're right, but it still doesn't speak well of his speed to not get home on a double with a head start. He did round third but got held up by the coach at the last second, and a faster runner would likely have been sent. It's really just my one gripe about Plouffe... he is SLOW.

I was considered slow in baseball, but fast in football. I think I needed someone chasing me.

RB tipped us off to expect good SS play from Iglesias, and he erased Santana with a nice play up the middle. Largely positioning, but it still had the earmarks of a clean single, and suddenly t'weren't.

Hunter having a little fun after Simon throws him a floater on 0-0.

Not quite as much fun when he pops up foul to the catcher on a similar pitch 1-1.

Score's 0-0 after two and a half. Your Circus Boy Update.

Do you believe my wife just asked me to make her a nicoise salad? Who does she think she is Josephine?

I'm going to have to look that up

J.D. Martinez sure seems to be a decent cheap pickup.

To me... He's one example of trying not to run out of options.

If he indeed ran out of options with the Astro's.

I don't think the Right Fielder's identity made much difference on that one.

No. Every single ball hit to the outfield, even to LF, or into the RF foul stands, is Torii's fault if the batter's not retired.
