Just got one.  The voice of a local (to me) ambulance chaser roused me to action, you can be assured.

Yeah, me too. Brock knows and I'm sure will be dealing with it. Seems like it gets stopped only to start up again. It's annoying to have to do this every time, but in the meantime, you can stop the videos from running by clicking on the little tiny stop button in the upper right hand corner of the ad. Or mute your computer as JB suggested a while back. Unfortunately muting the computer isn't always an option for me because of other things I'm doing, but try that for the next day or two while on the site until it's resolved.

I'm guessing these are Flash ads, since I never hear them in iOS.

 

I bring it up because I think there are 3rd party apps to disable sound in Flash, at least in Windows, without being a full-up adblocker. Could be a win-win.

Although sound isn't a problem, I'm getting recurring pop-ups on my iPhone to go play the Kim Kardashian game (at yahoo).

 

I see there's a banner for it at the bottom of the page. On the mobile site, of course.

Here's one.  I was operating in another tab (Firefox) and started hearing sound and went here and did a screen grab.  It's the AM/PM ad on the right

PS, I just got an AM/PM ad with unsolicited sound on my ISP's home page, so it's definitely not TD's fault; nevertheless the ad agency's feet need to be held to the fire.

That is correct. It takes me out of Safari and opens the App Store pointing to their software.

Yup. I had that happen to me this morning on my iPad. Page loads, then - boom - forced redirect to the app store page for the advertisement. I DESPISE those ads. There's a special place in you know where for whoever decided these were a brilliant idea.
