mhanson93 Verified Member Posted May 2, 2012 Author Posted May 2, 2012 Hunter goes deep again. #@$@! Don't fall apart again, Liriano!
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Shake it off Frankie, a solo shot is not a big deal. Don't get yourself too worked up.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 I gotta say, I miss Hunter more than any other ex twin (maybe Garza) from the last few years. The guy knows how to play baseball. We didn't need him though.
mhanson93 Verified Member Posted May 2, 2012 Author Posted May 2, 2012 And there goes another one! #@$@! What is the deal with the 2nd inning for Liriano?!!
Land Of 10,000 Beasts Provisional Member Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Wow. Smalley just pointed out that we have now gave up 36 home runs. We have hit 14. Just...wow.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Clete Thomas with more at bats...what a roster.
mnfireman Verified Member Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Piss poor baserunning by Span again. Does he not know how to take a lead or read a pitcher. I saw that coming from 2000 miles away!
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 And that's why a guy with his speed has a negative baserunning stat...amazing. All these years...
mhanson93 Verified Member Posted May 2, 2012 Author Posted May 2, 2012 A walk by Liriano, and now an infield hit. Hold on to your hats! Here we go!!
mhanson93 Verified Member Posted May 2, 2012 Author Posted May 2, 2012 Unbelievable! This CANNOT continue! Twins have got to take Liriano out of the rotation!!!! It sucks even more that there is absolutely zero to replace him with.
mikeee Provisional Member Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 They need to replace clete thomas with drew butera.
mhanson93 Verified Member Posted May 2, 2012 Author Posted May 2, 2012 They need to replace clete thomas with drew butera. They need to replace both with a bucket of balls.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 I agree with Smalley, Liriano's pitching better tonight. It's not getting us jacks**t but they seem to have him on the right meds. The worse part is the patience at the plate tonight, making Williams look way too good.
Land Of 10,000 Beasts Provisional Member Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Roy Smalley's optimism about Liriano is crazy. I'm not sure whether to laugh, cry, or throw up.
mikeee Provisional Member Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Roy Smalley's optimism about Liriano is crazy. I'm not sure whether to laugh, cry, or throw up.You could always boo!!!!
mhanson93 Verified Member Posted May 2, 2012 Author Posted May 2, 2012 Still seems like he's getting lit up to me...
Shane Wahl Verified Member Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Look at this lineup and the starting pitcher and tell me how it could be possible to win this game? Clete Thomas is terrible, Chris Parmelee doesn't belong here, and Danny Valencia is poor. At least Drew Butera is coming to rescue the Twins.

twinswon1991 Provisional Member Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Roy Smalley is a JOKE! Even Dick Bremer and Seth Stohs can't compete with his homerism! The fact that Gardy continues to play Thomas shows he is asking to be fired! Put him out of his misery now.....
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 The Angels had scored 9 runs in their 6 games before the last two games....agree with a poster above, this roster is not constructed to win. Bad drafting (by Ryan), bad trades by Smith, and injuries to their only good pitcher and 2nd best hitter....no depth now that they feel the need to carry 13 pitchers and three catchers, no help in the minors. Don't worry, I bet they take that $15MM drop in payroll (in a year where MLB payroll went up on average) next year and buy some players....
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Still seems like he's getting lit up to me...Well I wouldn't call 5 hits getting lit up, one was a damn good bunt by a fast runner but they have taken advantage of his mistakes. 3/1 K-BB , 57 pitches, 34 for strikes, he's gotten ahead of a bunch of batters and just got out of a runner on 3rd, no outs situation. Not as bad as it's been. Just trying to be positive.
twinswon1991 Provisional Member Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 The following players have no business getting regular MLB playing time: Parmelee, Thomas, Carroll, Valencia, Blackburn, Marquis, etc. These guys could be CUT and no other MLB team would give them anything other than the last spot on their 25 man roster IF THAT. TERRY RYAN, YOU HAVE PUT TOGETHER A GREAT TEAM!!!! Please resign, the game has passed you buy. Can't wait to see TR draft some soft-tossing strike thrower with the #2 pick that will have a ceiling of 4.5 K/9 and an ERA of 4.50.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Let's all jump on Smalley for questioning the Twins plate discipline.........or is that easy enough for everyone to see?
Top Gun Provisional Member Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Twins will never hit with that lineup.
