  1. Wheeler was, at best, the 3rd best starter on a non-playoff team. IMO, not worth what he will get paid.
  2. If I’m remembering correctly, the player the Twins gave up for Odo has been converted to a pitcher.
  3. Seems like a good fit. Hopefully he will provide a calming force for the others in the pen. Much like adding a Thome, or Hunter, or Nelson Cruz seems to help the offense. Veteran leadership. But I hope a few more moves are coming.
  4. Does Colina need to be added to the 40-man roster after this year? Who else needs to be added?
  5. I agree about the accuracy of the site, although Bumgarner and Smith are rentals. The site does suggest that the Twins could get Luis Castillo (the pitcher) and Raisel Iglesias for a package of Kirilloff, Duran and Gordon. May have to add a lottery ticket or two, but both have multiple years of control. Would you do that?
  6. I would like to see Lynn offered a three year deal, $15 mil per, give him an opt out after 1year, the third year a vesting option with 2 mil buyout. Third year vests if he throws 400 innings in the first two years. My guess is he would opt out after one year if he had a typical Lance Lynn type of season.
  7. I would keep Thorpe. The last time he and Romero were both healthy at the same time, Thorpe was rated higher. And he is a year younger than Romero. I think Thorpe would definitely be taken in the rule V draft.
