  1. When I heard about the change I was skeptical. Too many times sites ruin it with their changes. However, this is a major upgrade. Well done. One complaint I have now though is the amount of ads on mobile. Never saw ads before and now they seem all over the place
  2. I cant think of one prospect that has ever been a "savior" to any franchise as theyre called up. The premise of this is ridiculous. No need for the impossible expectations. .260 with 15 home runs and 60 RBIs would be a good year for Kirilloff and would help the team.
  3. I dont think ANYONE expects him to be a "savior" but he has earned his right to be in the big leagues and develop further.
  4. Can we stop with the anti-vaxxer rhetoric? Could it possibly be that the individual recognizes that these particular vaccines have not been tested to the same extent as other medicines, and are only allowed on an emergency use only basis? This coupled with the fact that young individuals in good shape (athletes) have a 99.99% recovery or better and the fact that CDC has already had to halt the use of one vaccine as it is failing its safety test in production. Perhaps the person is purely weighing pros and cons? Or perhaps the person objects to certain ingredients used or has allergies? Do you really feel the need to shame them?
  5. That’s not the point. Article should be about his break out year and how he can improve on it. To say “well he still won’t win this award” that 99.999% of baseball players will never win is moving the goal posts and putting negative spin on a bright spot for our team
  6. No kidding. The amount of negative articles here is absurd
  7. Do we really need an article on the triple crown. Do you realize how rare that is and shouldn’t even been discussed this early in the season. Pure ridiculousness
  8. Even the article on a win has a negative tone, sheesh
  9. The amount of negative articles is overwhelming. I get it’s rough to be living in Minnesota, but sheesh. I’m glad wisconsin teams aren’t this negative or I wouldn’t be a sports fan at all
  10. Why does it seem like every article on here is negative?
  11. It really seems like Minnesota sports fans root for their players to fail rather than succeed. And as soon as they succeed they want them traded lol. Just my perception.
  12. Not in Minneapolis. What was the difference between today and yesterday that they were able to have a game today?
  13. I haven’t been watching. I normally purchase Baseball channels or mlb Tv or both. This year I decided not to fund them further and just follow along on twitter for videos. Now I don’t even know anymore. It gets worse and worse each year
  14. These statements make it seem like it was a political choice 1st and a safety issue 2nd. Getting old and making the product unwatchable. Just cancel the season already
  15. I like your idea of wrestling music. I really wish a couple of them picked the Rock theme song and/or John Cena Theme song
  16. Baseball cards are outdated. Give me a NFT any day of the week over a physical card. NFT is always in mint condition. Should be some interesting applications in a few years with these. NBA Top Shots are already doing well
  17. If your baseline is that a top prospect should equal HOF then you have a long life of disappointment ahead of you. I’ve watched the kid in the minors and he’s not too far off from what I thought. Granted I thought he’d be a .240-.250 hitter so that’s disappointing but 30-40 homers is about right.
  18. Exactly. Polanco is not the type of player you trade. He is on a team friendly deal and a good 2B. He also offers positional flexibility at SS and bottom line is a good player. There's not a player in the Twins org that could replace him. If you attempted to do so, we would have more stop gap career minor leaguers attempting to do so. Makes no sense when we have a solid core.
  19. Can we appreciate Sano for what he is? A guy that will have a lot of strikeouts, low average, but a lot of home runs and good OPS. That’s still a solid player. It’s almost like you guys expect him to be a hall of Famer which is unfair expectations. I remember riding back from Beloit when he was down there. I told my buddy that Rosario would be more valuable player if he stuck at 2B. Well he didn’t stick but my initial valuation was a lot closer than anyone expected. He is still a fine player but he is what he is. He will have some hot streaks and we will be glad to have him. If you are expecting Barry Bonds out there, then sorry.
  20. Pretty bad joke. Only disrupts the discussion.
  21. Accidentally deleted this when I meant to click “edit”. Looks like edit button disappeared It was a series of bizarre decision making. You let Rosario go because you don’t want him blocking the young guys. Instead of adding all the young guys to the 40 man roster and let the cream rise to the top, you expose Baddoo only to sign a retread outfielder who’s failed at other organizations to block the kids. In the process you lose a guy with real potential. If you are making the decision between Rosario and Young guys... okay I get that. But management chose the worst of both worlds and now LF is a disaster. Hopefully they learn quick from their mistakes and let the young guys learn
  22. This has nothing to do with the thread
  23. I am a big fan of Celestino but thank you for the sensible take
