  1. Yes, Polanco is one of the few opportunities to at least try to balance the strikeout/walk ratio of this team which is out of control at the moment. They need to try to find a spot for him, and even though the Twins likely would be loathe to unseat a veteran, Plouffe's spot is the most logical.
  2. I know it's early, and the team has seemed to have decided to market the team around him this year for some reason, but I'd push Plouffe to the bench/super-utility role. Not so much because he's been worse than everyone else, but because this team needs someone who has a strong track record of taking pitches and getting on base, and Jorge Polanco is beyond ready for his shot, and really, I don't think there are any other options to improve this particular skill set that the team so desperately needs. He could replace Escobar, but he's obviously one of the only two competent hitters on the team right now, he could replace Dozier, but I'd give Dozier a longer leash than Plouffe. I'd also give Park some AAA at bats. I don't mind him struggling up here, but I'd like the team to give more looks to Kepler and Arcia, so someone has to go to Rochester. As for the pen, I was ready to start from scratch this spring, so I'm just fine blowing the whole thing up. With the extremely minimal use of Arcia and Tonkin, I kind of think the manager and GM may not have been on the same page this spring. If that's the case, I think there could be some fireworks even though we as Twins fans have been conditioned to expect continuity and cohesiveness.
  3. Right, all of them but the one that is currently collaborating with Mike. I didn't think it would happen so soon, but assuming Gus becomes part of the show (and I don't even know if they have secured a contract with the actor) it might happen as soon as the season finale. Mike going solo and playing Rambo against the Salamancas for the rest of the run of the show sounds fun but will probably border on ridiculous soon. They probably will need Gus soon so there can be a more believable Salamanca/Fring feud.
  4. Surly they must be referrenced in the appendix.
  5. That's not in the official rule book.
  6. 92-MPH Perkins looks nothing like 95-MPH Perkins.
  7. I wonder if tgat precedent could be used other times when the Senate refuses to do their jobs, which seems often.
  8. Jepsen looks like the Jepsen of last year. The TB version that is.
  9. Hmm, what does it say about me that I just assumed Park's translator was going to be a Korean guy?
  10. My money is on Escobar batting 1st or 2nd by the home opener.
  11. I think he meant the Twins would end up like the Donner party. My money's on Sano as the last one left and with a fork in his hand.
  12. It didn't say what to do with Canadian outlets. You guys still use those weird British ones right?
  13. I knew it. For those that don't want to take the time to read it, if you charge your phone too much the outlet will auto reverse the power intake and suck the power back out of your phone. To preserve battery life you should charge your battery to exactly 83% than quickly put it in a ziplock bag then wrap that in a piece if suede and stick it in the freezer until sunrise.
  14. I got 212. My biggest omission was Marty Cordova somehow. Failure to spell Buchanon (sic) and Tewksbery (sic) cost me and I gave up assuming I was wrong as opposed to correctly figuring I'm terrible at spelling.
  15. This is basically what I was trying to sum up in my first paragraph. For all his winning, he's still losing. Also, the polls may look good now for Sanders because he and Clinton are playing relatively nice. What happens to the polls if he's going to head-to-head against Trump who continually calls him a Communist? That word is going to turn off a lot of people who aren't smart enough to know the difference or too afraid to care. And there is absolutely no doubt that Trump and the republicans would drum up a BS Red Scare if Bernie won.
  16. I think this is last gasp stuff by Sanders. He's winning these primaries and it's still clearly not making a difference, he doesn't know what to do. He's also defensive after the Daily News article and is just swinging away with nothing to really aim at. However, the tone on the Democratic side is still very, very cordial comparatively. It's more friendly than Clinton/Obama 2012 and probably more friendly than most primaries in recent history that have been competitive. I will be surprised if when all is said and done, Bernie doesn't fully support Clinton. He probably has some young, new to the process voters who will be unjustly butt-hurt who will refuse to support Clinton and petition to get Sanders to run as an independent, but we probably should differentiate a Sanders voter from Sanders himself, I'm not going to hold his millennial supporters and THEIR rhetoric against him. I think this is going to end up looking like the speech from the Father-of-the-Bride at a wedding compared to what ever kind of toxic vomit ends up spewing from the Trump/Cruz train wreck.
  17. http://www.cnn.com/2016/04/07/politics/john-podesta-hillary-clinton-ufo/index.html Boom, Clinton (may) declassify Area 51 docs. Election over, how can you top that Mr Trump? Trump: I'm going to make the aliens pay to put a wall around their planet.
  18. I checked it out on IMDB and saw the titles of the comments down below. I couldn't help myself and interjected in one of them but then had to get out as it would have been a losing battle that would be fought until those 15-year-olds move out of mom's basement, presumably about when they turn 30. If anyone has seen a scientific study as to why this certain demographic hates/fears women so much, forward it my way. I can't imagine it's all because of the trope that they've never been and never will get laid.
  19. Why are you trying to make things worse?
  20. Just not for the ninth. Or tenth
  21. Awesome, I just got the kids to bed and finally got to turn the game on!
  22. I don't like thinking that bench guys are there in case a player misses a couple of games. You can call up Polanco, Bersford, Micheal, Mastroianni or Benson if you need a warm body for a few games. I am however much higher on Nunez than most, he was really solid offensively last year when used. Though if he isn't going to be used, and I can't think of a more ideal time than to pinch hit for Suzuki, then I'm not sure the manager and the GM are on the same page. I don't really think Ryan put together a 25-man thinking there wasn't a RH pinch hitter for his manager to use.
  23. Thanks for the insight Bob. For my money, I could care less about Stewart's personality, I do however care about his velocity. Looks like we are severely lacking on both fronts though. The Twins do seem to care about personality however, I'm not at all saying a surely attitude is causing a problem, but if it was, I'd expect the Twins to give fewer chances than to a guy with an attitude more inline with what we tend to picture for the Twins.
