  1. What is everyone's thoughts on the max contract you think would make sense for Darvish? The less years the better obviously but it's going to take 5-6 years for sure, I think the 6 years $150 million is prolly what it's going to take. I would just be happy because at least it would be a MOVE
  2. Didn't realize how crazy this guy's contract is till I just looked it up, at age 40 he will pull in a cool $32 million, what is the chance he is a superstar then? Especially since he struggled last year....as we say in MN, "Uf da"
  3. Nice...pun of the day in here!
  4. Berrios' fastball seems down a couple ticks today
  5. Eddie is getting to be a patient little brute, taking some nice at bats recently!
  6. Anyone know what the perceived timeline is for getting our small Sano back into the lineup?
  7. Even if the Twins hold on to the 2nd WC spot and lose the WC game, this season has been a great storyline. What other team gets the white flag from the front office and trades away some chips at the deadline, only to roar back and play much better ball afterwards. These guys are a vicious little bunch and I love following them!
  8. That might be a stretch, when the Twins are in the outfield then maybe, but that's a long run from the bench...
  9. Yep Rhett said he is just day to day....sigh....all this is enough to drive a guy to drinkin
  10. I think he is kind of like the Gibson of the Twin's offense. Sometimes he is downright good, and you wish you could watch him be a full-timer. Other times he looks so helpless that you don't want to see him again.
  11. Yep I'm all for keeping Dozier long term as long as it isn't a crippling contract. He puts up very good numbers, and this year has been starting to go the opposite way a bit more with hits, if he could master that it could take him to another level.
  12. Wow this Melville guy must be quite something, gameday says he's throwing a 95 mph curveball
  13. It's not like he's just struggling with stuff outside the zone either, he just can't make contact with anything. I could probably go out their and breeze my nasty 65 mph fastball that profiles closely to Giminez's past him
  14. Okay so that was a darn good at bat by BD
  15. I was a big fan for either Gore or Wright, and both are doing well in their tiny stints so far. But hey, there's a reason the front office isn't paying me millions to analyze talent and make the final selections
  16. Not to be Debbie Downer, but I hope the bullpen is an smooth running, well oiled machine today, because it might be needed here and there....
  17. Thanks, wow I never knew it was that much! Where do you find stats like that?
  18. My biggest problem with Berrios is his lack of pitches, he essentially has two pitches he relies on, fastball and curveball and while they are both good pitches, he needs something else to keep hitters off balance. I know he has tinkered with a changeup, does he still throw it much? Even an average slider or changeup I think would make a huge difference for him
  19. There could actually be some truth to this, he just thought if they were making good money he had job security
  20. If Enns comes out and makes a nice 6-7 inning start, he's going to make the Yankees look kinda foolish especially after Garcia's bad last start.
  21. Or just count Sano's BP home runs
