Joe Mauer was inducted into the Minnesota Twins Hall of Fame pregame tonight and the team made sure to keep the vibes going by crushing the Diamondbacks 12-1. Ryan Jeffers hit two home runs and Michael A. Taylor homered for the third-straight game. Down in the minors, new Wichita arrivals Dalton Shuffield and Willie Joe Garry Jr. flexed while Andrew Morris struck out nine batters in a dominant start for Cedar Rapids. The Minnesota Twins bounced back to take a road series against the Cardinals, winning 5-3 on Thursday. Ryan Jeffers and Michael A. Taylor both hit two-run homers early and Sonny Gray delivered seven strong innings. There were a ton of transactions! Dallas Keuchel will be joining the big club with Joe Ryan headed to the IL. Brooks Lee, Yunior Severino and DaShawn Keirsey Jr. were all promoted up to Triple-A. As if that wasn't enough, 2023 first-round pick Walker Jenkins made his pro debut for the FCL Twins. Down in the minors, a focus is placed tonight on some names that may stand to benefit from the Twins' inactivity at the trade deadline. Gilberto Celestino, Chris Williams, Kyle Garlick and Kody Funderburk are among the players featured. The Minnesota Twins were swept by the lowly Royals this weekend and have now lost five-straight games. This comes after they started the second half hot, going 9-2 out of the break. Down in the minors, Yunior Severino continued his tear Saturday, blasting a pair of homers. That gave him six home runs in a five-game stretch and 24 total on the season. Also featured are a couple of pitching debuts: Jaylen Nowlin's Double-A debut with Wichita and Andrew Morris' High-A debut for Cedar Rapids. View full video

The Minnesota Twins were swept by the lowly Royals this weekend and have now lost five-straight games. This comes after they started the second half hot, going 9-2 out of the break. Down in the minors, Yunior Severino continued his tear Saturday, blasting a pair of homers. That gave him six home runs in a five-game stretch and 24 total on the season. Also featured are a couple of pitching debuts: Jaylen Nowlin's Double-A debut with Wichita and Andrew Morris' High-A debut for Cedar Rapids.

Jorge Polanco had a huge game-tying double with the Twins down to their final out and made some nifty plays at third base. Jenkins gets slightly over what was slotted for the No. 5 overall pick, signing for $7.1442 million. The Twins have had some great comebacks of late but this evening the Mariners turned the tables. Jenkins gets slightly over what was slotted for the No. 5 overall pick, signing for $7.1442 million. The Twins have had some great comebacks of late but this evening the Mariners turned the tables. Seattle scored seven runs in the final two innings to come away with the win. Down in the minors, Jorge Polanco played third base for the Saints and Caleb Thielbar made a rehab appearance in St. Paul. The Twins erased a 3-0 deficit in the bottom of the ninth before pulling out a victory over the White Sox in the 12th inning thanks to a Ryan Jeffers walk-off single. The Kernels trailed 6-4 in the bottom of the ninth but won on a Ben Ross walk-off hit. The Mighty Mussels were down 7-1 in the eighth inning but scored 10 unanswered runs to win. It was also a dramatic moment in the game with the score tied 0-0 in the bottom of the ninth inning. It's too bad the Saints ended up being walked off shortly after that.
