  1. Do we know where Kepler is actually at healthwise? I don't think I've seen anything regarding where he's at. I think Wallner has to be sent down. He's not looked good at the plate in my opinion. Lynn toyed with him Tuesday night. I also think that Garlick getting DFA'd is the logical step when Gallo comes back. Knowing oblique strains though, that may not be for a while and a lot of things can happen between now and then.
  2. I did even better than that. I checked in to find the score and immediately turned it right back off. I couldn't handle it.
  3. Now I'm ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN that this column is satire! (I had previous doubts) Pffft, Twins win...Yankees...ridiculous!
  4. I made the trek downtown for Tuesday night's game. I was disappointed with the sparse crowd given the weather, but it is April and a school night. There were several families near me though, which is nice to see. I liked the new scoreboards and I, too, hate that they moved the out of town scoreboard out of RF. The ad space is obnoxious to me. Same with the ribbon board on the dugout roof facing. It's too much, in my opinion. The stinginess with the magnet schedules has been a crook in my side for quite a few years now. I don't get it. Way to ruin an easy, and cheap, tradition. Game pace is fantastic, especially in person. I ended up getting into a prolonged text exchange and when I finally looked up, I had missed an entire inning. Not being one to get into prolonged text exchanges in the first place, I was surprised by how the game flew by. And I appreciate that as an early riser.
  5. Ugly win for a variety of reasons, but a win is a win is a win and it all looks the same in the standings. Winning a series against a division rival is never a bad thing. Best wishes to Farmer and his jaw!
  6. Lopez has been a breathe of fresh air. Rough first inning aside, he was dominant and it was fun to watch. Too bad that he didn't get the decision, but that's how it goes sometimes.
  7. Welcome to the Bigs, Julien!

  8. Gallo to the IL.  That sucks.

  9. Is the Twins deal the oldest of the three? Was it agreed to before the value of those deals exploded? Because that would be my guess.
  10. Nice and surprising outing by Maeda. Bars ran into a buzzsaw in Alcantara. Rubber match tomorrow!
  11. Twins Home Opener moved back a day to Friday.  Same Bat time, same Bat channel.

  12. Love to see the bats coming alive. Nice outing by Mahle today as well. Pretty good all around effort today.
  13. Nice to see the bats get going. Ryan had a nice outing as well. Always nice to start the season with a sweep!
  14. Nothing screams baseball season like a blizzard warning!  🤣🤣

At least ours is a tornado warning

      That's more like it!

      And also, be safe!

  15. I think you should reconsider the Instapot thing. I made some fantastic risotto a couple of weeks ago! 🙂
  16. I'm not one that's overly bothered by how the injuries are handled, with the fans but communication in general from this FO could probably be improved. These are probably pretty good and reasonable solutions even for general use. Everyone could benefit.
  17. If I didn't know the names of the people sitting in my basement with me during yesterday's game, I'd swear that Stu was a fly on the wall listening to the insanity I had to endure!🤣
  18. It would have been swell to not leave the bases loaded without scoring as often, but a win is a win is a chicken dinner and I'll take it. Love the new pace of the game. Very refreshing!
  19. 85 wins, falling just a game or two behind Cleveland for the division. That at least makes for a fun and entertaining season to the end. Not the ultimate goal, but a good starting point.
  20. I personally don't think any of that matters. I think he's tied to the FO and he's doing what the FO wants him to do. So, his seat isn't hot at all unless the FO's is. And if the FO fires him, they'll just replace him with someone similar.
  21. The starts should get longer on average based solely on the fact that the staff is better in general. And at this point, healthier. I think that's about all that needs to be said.
  22. Spring Training...OVER!

Bring on KC!  Let's get this show on the road!

  23. But it is cynical because the plan could actually be to start him out as a DH at the beginning of the season with the plan on working him into CF more and more as the season progresses. That plan could easily change if his knee, or something else, doesn't allow that plan to come to fruition.
