  1. In theory, sure. I wonder if that's how it would actually be applied. That almost seems self defeating. "We can't tell" seems like dodging the question. Again, I'm not opposed to the idea. The current form is far from perfect.
  2. That scenario seems like it forces the reviewer to make a call. I'm not sure that's a bad thing though. The system is flawed somehow either way. I'm not a fan of replay in it's current form anyhow.
  3. The disappointing aspect of that is that the Twins aren't exactly lighting them up despite this though.
  4. I kinda feel like that fact doesn't get enough play. That's an incredible story that he's got.
  5. I guess that I assumed someone of your experience would have managed to stay sober at least through the first inning!
  6. Perhaps you guys should sit up straight! It's better viewing that way!
  7. Oh, is that all? I thought you were going to say that it's virtually impossible!
  8. Aren't we sick enough from watching this team already?
  9. I imagine that plays into the error by Donaldson. That turn isn't something he's all that familiar with, but that's still a play, that even he would appear to agree with, that should have been made. He had the time. Though, judging by how he set himself up for that, he hasn't practiced that enough.
  10. And yet, the play still wasn't made! Rather incredible, really. Even the guys backing the play up failed.
  11. I didn't say that it was just for defense, I said that he's getting paid for his offense AND defense. Run prevention is just as important as run production. He's getting paid for the whole package. He's a plus defensive third baseman, they don't hit the market often because they're hard to find. That's what made him such a prize get for this squad. His leg injuries have come while running the bases, if I recall correctly. So, DHing him doesn't solve that problem. Filling the DH spot can be done effectively many ways, filling a defensive hole at 3B with a guy that can hit cannot.
  12. Donaldson is getting paid just as much for his glove as he is for his bat, so I don't see him DH'ing on the regular. Plus, that's a massive drop off in defensive ability to go from Donaldson to Arraez at 3B. It would be easier to find a DH than a quality 3B. If the point is to keep Arraez's bat in the lineup, DH him and keep the better defender in the field.
  13. Perhaps the batters should quit hogging it all.
  14. I think trading Donaldson for a strong return will be very difficult. In order to do so, they'd have to eat most of his salary and that almost defeats the purpose of trading him.
  15. This may not be the worst idea. Baffert knows a lot of things ranging from horsesh*t to winning. This team's play has the former covered, so maybe he can help with the latter?
  16. They didn't waste any time tagging the bullpen there, did they?
  17. No, but it would have a negative launch angle, I believe.
  18. Can someone help me out? I'm trying to determine if "in play, out(s)" is burned into my screen or if it's just that common an occurrence. Thanks in advance.
  19. Another popup, you say? Launch angle is supposed to have some forward trajectory to it, no?
