  1. True, but the marquee matchups are usually very entertaining in both. Oddly enough, I prefer the college games to the pro games, but that's definitely not without my quibbles.
  2. Correct. And far too often, it pushes FOUR hours of boring baseball. It's more about the lack of action than anything.
  3. I agree completely. They don't even need to do anything overly drastic, just small tweaks would probably work out just fine while maintaining the spirit of the game. Bring the strategy and action back to the game.
  4. Those rules were "fine" last season, but they're absolutely ridiculous now. I can deal with the shift, but the COVID rules that remain this season are asinine.
  5. As someone that now despises both the NFL and NBA because of this very aspect, MLB really needs to go that route. Baseball has the traditions that neither of those two sports have, but their willingness to change has brought them prosperity. That's something I can't deny and I'm basically willing to accept that I'm unlikely to enjoy the changes. But I'm not really enjoying the game as it is right now either, so its basically a distinction without a difference.
  6. One would certainly hope so. Though, the change in philosophy to beat the shift was to hit it over the shift. Not the change in philosophy I was hoping for.
  7. Definitely. It seems like it would be easier to score runs that way.
  8. Perhaps we should talk to management. These things are important.
  9. So this is what it's like to be on the other side of squandering a prime opportunity!
  10. Of course! Why wouldn't you? Does this new site have a sarcasm font?!
  11. Gotta love those innings that start with two straight walks...
  12. Buxton would have caught th...oh, so did Refsnyder...
  13. I thought he played there last week, but I could be wrong. That was the first time since like 2019, IIRC.
  14. "What if we had crabs?" I'd recommend a physician...
  15. Oh, well in that case you'll need to sit up straight in order to adhere to fire code, not for better viewing.
  16. Is this something where you've got to be "sitting in a chair sideways drunk" to understand?
  17. No doubt. I'll take the charity though. Never know if they'd drive those guys in on their own.
