    The military changes rules all the time. I know on enlistment contracts there is some clause that you agree that if any promises have been made other than what is stipulated in the contract, they aren't binding. I don't remember the exact wording, but I'm sure the officers have a similar clause for commissioning.

    The military has a demand for fit, athletic people to join the ranks, and currently about 75% of the graduating HS seniors are disqualified for fitness, drug, or legal issues. The World Class Athlete program is good advertising, and for every one that is in the program there are probably 30 more who will join because they know that signing on the dotted line isn't signing away the pro dream.

    When I checked, I think he was a 1st Lieutenant (O-2). $3850 + $250 + housing (1400 - 2200, depending on which base in FL he is stationed at - I think it was Patrick AFB.)

    I'm with you. With the Rockies/Blackmon I'm not going to wait, however. The likelihood of that deal crashing and burning is just too high.

    I wasn't crazy about the decision to send Berrios back out for the 9th. I know his pitch count was low, but it's also the first start of the season.

    Doesn't the regular season usually start on a Sunday or Monday? I'm glad I came to TD today, because I was looking forward to the season starting on April 1st. Happy April Fool's day to me.

    I'm worried that Buxton may indeed follow that blueprint. He constantly looks like he is on the verge of catastrophic injury out there and appears to have very little awareness of the location of the walls.

    He was better in 2017 and he was better prior to 2016 in the field. He had a bad year with the glove in 2016. I'm not sure why - maybe he had some communication issues playing with some young guys, maybe he didn't put as much work into that side of the ball that year. I think I remember him acknowledging some struggles and putting extra work in to get better during the offseason prior to last year.
