    That was awesome, and reminds how I learned to patch, tape, and mud after a party I had while my parents were out of town about 43 years ago. 😎 They would never have known, except I had to borrow some drywall from a section in the basement that wasn't as inconspicuous as I thought.

    I hadn't been paying attention, but Jax has had a run of pretty good starts. His last four have been exactly 5 innings in each start, a total of 5 runs allowed (2 earned). We'll see who stays effective and, more importantly, who stays healthy.

    I was wondering that about the guy Arizona brought in from the pen. They must have more injuries and less depth than us, because he hasn't been good anywhere. Had most of that typed before the slam.

    That was quite a year last year. This year is pretty good, but last year he had to be in the MVP race. 50 HR, 1.025 OPS. Not too shabby indeed.

    I do too, mainly because of their pitching coach. He's from my home town, I used to umpire when he was in Little League and Babe Ruth league (13-15) and he married a friend of my sister. (ignore the Oklahoma in my profile; that's just where the military dropped me off after 20+ years.)
