  1. Strange. I've read on this site 100s of times that the Twins never give the kids a chance until their roster spot is at risk. /s
  2. Valid points, for sure. But they can still make more roster changes after that and there will be injuries. Every living, breathing pitcher is already on the 26 roster at this point. So the extra arm is probably Henriquez until somebody heals. And the only contender position player not on the MLB IL at this point is Carmago, arguably Julien. Possibly Keirsey if they want a PR type and he has to be added to the 40 in the offseason anyway. Given how many injuries occur, I think it will still work itself out and nobody will get stiffed, so to speak.
  3. I'm starting to think we'll see more changes to the training staff in November-December.
  4. Emphasis added. That's the big question here. "A chronic injury" is pretty vague.
  5. It explains his performance in '24 so far. But I hope Atteberry's word choice is wrong. Because chronic means it won't go away. This stuff sounds bad when it's told anecdotally like this, but the truth is that few players are 100% and it's such a fine line between "too injured" (Kiriloff) and "aches and pains." Sometimes this FO puts a player on IL instantly, sometimes not. I'm not going to read too much into it, other than hoping he's better now.
  6. If Lee was injured at MLB, then he belongs on the MLB IL, not in the minors. The union will make sure of that. As for Farmer, as if this horse wasn't dead enough... But he was also playing injured in June. It's possible that he performs closer to his career #s. I'm not worked up over it either way. Correa is likely just a few days behind him, so whatever happens in temporary. Just like all roster moves.
  7. He had a good run, but he's done.
  8. How hard a player hits the ball is a useful stat...to a point. But all HR count for the same amount of runs. I wish they didn't ooh and ah every time over it on tv/radio.
  9. This is a good point about Wallner that I hadn't thought about, when comparing to the other 3. Larnach has been relatively healthy, but I get the impression he's battling through something sometimes.
  10. The Twins have a bit of a Kielty/Mohr situation right now with Kiriloff/Larnach/Wallner. At the moment Wallner is hot. But they do need to pick 1-2 of the 3 and start to move on by next season IMHO. That also doesn't mean they need to make the move now. But if the right offer comes, they should listen. (It worked with Kielty.) At this point, I'd move AK for a rental, but not Larnach or Wallner. But I also have no idea about AK's health.
  11. Teams make deadline deals to get better. Why would they want the Twins' castaways? The majority of this list are just fringe 37-40th roster spots, not prized "assets." If moved, they'll be DFAed or traded for considerations.
  12. Almost as many errors as hits, anyway.
  13. 1 pitch from Ronny is kind of the nail in the coffin.
  14. Cuz he's really nailing it with the FB right now...
  15. lol, of course he's up. Time for poetic justice...or something.
  16. It's been long enough that I find the Danny Santana story more uplifting than frustrating. He was really fun that year.
  17. Oh, I wasn't singling you out. I agree. Not because of the MN sports fan thing (consciously), but I don't believe any rookie is real...or pitcher...
