    This would be the right timing for Arcia to come in. Oh, wait ... hmmm ... (And stringer, before you point out that Arcia isn't exactly knocking the cover off the ball in AAA, I know. But surely there are better hitting options other than Robinson?)

    This. Even if they didn't make huge splashes in trades, there are so many internal options that I think they should have/coud have been trying out the entire last month. I was always in favor of a little patience with some of the players, or seeing if certain performances would last, particularly when I never expected much out of this team. But wow … when you are in contention, I'd expect something. For me, and I imagine the players, too … it says … 'No, I don't care how well you did to get where you are, we're just not doing it.' It's really hard to keep fighting when you don't seem to have backing. While I'm not on the inside of thought or conversations in this organization, and my speculation is likely way off base, it just seems screaming obvious … do something!!!! And not just to do something … do something to help!
