    Just had one ... not sure what it was for ... dogs running in a field ... was in the top spot on the right. But it quit part way through.

    Fly over country gets a bad rap yet again. I think the criteria used was pretty flawed, but then I'm pretty biased. And I miss home every day despite a good and happy life where I am. If you saw 'Inside Out' toward the end of the movie when the little girl aborts her plan to run away and comes home, and cries 'I miss Minnesota!' I wanted to yell out in the movie theatre "So do I!"

    Thanks for this, Parker. It certainly gives a lot more context and perspective. But it also deflates hope quite a bit.

    I think there are moves that could have been made that wouldn't have cost us our future that would have put us in a better position to win this year. It's not that Terry Ryan did nothing at the deadline this year, it's that he has never done much at the deadlines any year. Oh, unless you go way back and count trading Luis Castillo. Yeah, that helped. (sarcasm) While I agree that those in charge have way more knowledge than we do, it's that they did nothing. And if we are going to tank, and they let us tank, then why not give more prospects a taste to prepare them for next year instead of taking our lumps with those who just don't have the talent and aren't prospects. And how many years of lumps do we just accept? However many they want to give us? While mindless complaining solves nothing, many on here have posted reasonable alternatives and possibilities (and some have posted unreasonable alternatives and impossibilities), I'd just like to see and feel I deserve a little more from Terry Ryan and our FO. I don't think anyone deserves unlimited opportunity and we've had enough years of, well, failure, imo.

    That's a fair perspective. But doing nothing at the deadline, again, doing nothing now. It's just really hard to take and it's time. I don't think anyone is trying to negate his many accomplishments, but we just can't move forward with him in charge. It's just time.

    I think most realize we couldn't do better. I've acknowledged it many times, that I do not possess the baseball acumen, not even one iota close to it, that those in charge do. And while I don't have any idea of the internal workings and goings on, I do see the results and they are unacceptable to me. Worse, even to me, things could have been done that weren't. There are no excuses left here. There is only one person left here to own this. And it's past due time for that person to go, in my most humble opinion.

    My sister is a Red Sox fan and she has commented many times at how long those games are when the Red Sox and Yankees play.

    It's cool to watch them … hover. And they are usually pretty-colored. And their wings go really really fast … which is probably why they hover so well.
