For me, those are the things that made it an entertaining game, but not a great, intense game of baseball from the first pitch to the last out. For me, and for that, it will never compare to 91, not even in the same class.

Reread that ... I said hard boil EIGHT eggs, use four of the cooked ones whole, and only the yolks of the other four cooked ones.

If I'm having boiled eggs for breakfast, I want them soft or medium boiled; but obviously hard boiled when making egg salad.

I love egg salad, but the ratio has to be exactly right ... hard boil 8 eggs and use 4 whole eggs plus 4 yolks, use real mayonnaise and fresh dill. I also use a dab of yellow mustard.

I don't think it was that big of a deal. It's not like Thome is the face of the White Sox or in a very public role there. Plus, he's in Cleveland's HoF. Also, Thome's from here. I'm sure the Sox offering him a position when he retired was in part knowing that his home is here.

Yeah, honestly, for me, I wouldn't even compare the two games, and for me, yeah, didn't get interesting until Cleveland tied it (as I said above) but I think there were a lot who were entertained by it. But being entertained is a far cry from 'was it a good baseball game.' I was trying to make a distinction.

Again, purely from the standards of baseball, 1991. From the standards of being more entertaining, for me I'd still say 1991. I think it depends on what you want to see from a game, but how and why I watch are likely very different from the general population. So, from a general population standpoint, 2016 was probably more entertaining.

I guess when the OP asked which was a better game, I was thinking from the standards of baseball. If the question was which was more entertaining from a generic standpoint, I'd likely have answered differently. I mean, 4 errors combined, starters that didn't go deep, that's not a great baseball game. Yeah, lots to be entertained by, and there's the whole historical aspects, but from a baseball standpoint, I don't think it can be compared to other truly great baseball games.

I thought 2016 game 7 was sloppy; entertaining, but sloppy. It wasn't until Cleveland tied it that it became ... intense and interesting. Game 7 1991 was intense the whole way through, and the starter went 10 innings. Yeah, I'm more biased, but as for a baseball game, there is no contest. Game 7 2016, as I said, was sloppy; entertaining but sloppy; entertaining, but not the best game ever played.

I'd argue that a hard taco shell isn't bread. Would you use it for any other purpose? Now, a soft taco shell, I would, same with a pita.

But be prepared. When I said a drunken mess, you really have no idea unless you were around for the Stanley Cup or any St. Patrick's Day, I mean, falling down, throwing up, throw your garbage everywhere, pee on the streets and in the alleys, cram into all forms of public transportation all before noon drunken mess. But there also will be lots of excited happy people, and yes, that's fun. So find the right pocket to be in.
