  1. Um, it wants to be a movement? It IS a movement, one that has been around longer than I've been alive. And we are rallying today because the little progress that has been made is being threatened and new issues need to be heard. I find it quite disheartening, actually, that these we are still fighting for rights and equality in this country.
  2. That's because it's not just a protest. It's a rally and an event, uniting different entities all striving for equality of rights across all demographic lines.
  3. Yup. And with that, I'm off to protest. Cheers!
  4. Your concerns were also addressed to you personally in a private message if you check your in box.
  5. Just to clarify, this is not a moderator decision. Ownership is discussing it.
  6. There is already a current thread discussing Mauer. Please direct your comments to that thread. Thanks. http://twinsdaily.com/topic/24705-article-forecasting-mauers-remaining-years/
  7. There are those who could say the same of the Twins ... being greedy and foolish wanting more for Dozier. And there are some who think our FO is being arrogant trying to 'save face' to maximize a deal. Perhaps we all should step back and not resort to this kind of assessment and judgement. No one knows for sure what has/hasn't been offered. Resorting to this kind of ... name-calling ... doesn't help. We were unable to reach a deal. I don't think it had anything to do with greed, foolishness, arrogance or bullying. Each side had a price in mind, likely each side had what they thought a fair price in mind. They couldn't make it work. And I think we've seen enough good discussion and rationale on both sides of this aisle without resorting to this kind of judgement because it didn't work out.
  8. If you don't know, I can't help you.
  9. Dave corrected that post later on. He meant Sheffield, not Stewart, as he was replying to someone who suggested DeLeon + Sheffield might be something to consider in a trade.
  10. I never jumped on. Saw part of the first episode. Is just really not my thing.
  11. Oh great, are you adding in this discussion a debate to define 'junk/not junk'?
  12. I'm wondering if he meant Sheffield, as that's what the person he quoted was saying.
  13. The pictures on Facebook are quite nice.
  14. Um ... since I'm not married and don't share my financial information with members of my family this would be no problem. But knowing me, I'd procrastinate exchanging it/using it so at the time of my death my nieces and nephews would likely find it in my mattress, with no idea where it came from and why the heck I had so many euros stuffed in my mattress.
  15. I think it would be nice if the daily reports could link to the prospect page, and vice versa, when a particular player gets singled out for performance in a game. When I read the daily reports and see a particular mention of a prospect having a good game, I head to the Adopt-A-Prospect forum to see what else there is on that person, to fill in the gaps. Was this game an outlier? Has this person been steadily on the climb? Has he been working on something to make this game stand out? By linking back and forth, it could help to generate more traffic into the forum, and more traffic could generate more interest and discussion. And I think Seth is right, just because a prospect gets a mention for a particular performance in that game, I think you should still continue to put that into your prospect page. You could easily say 'What a night so and so had, he did this, that and the other thing. Here's the TD write up (then link it to the daily update), but these are my thoughts.' Or something like that. And I think you should feel free to also self-promote in a way. If you see your prospect mentioned in a daily update, post a comment saying how he's 'your guy' and you've been following him all season and link your page in the comments.
  16. So you know, Seth has opened a thread in the Minor League forum to discuss Adopt-A-Prospect moving forward. If you want this program to continue, please respond to his inquiries for input and ideas. And maybe offer to help?
  17. Yeah, kinda like calling for rain inside a domed stadium.
  18. Did anyone watch Victoria? Planning on watching that series?
  19. My redirects were happening only in Chrome and have stopped since going back to Foxfire. And it wasn't a complete redirect, but a popup and new tab opened saying my computer security had expired and I needed to renew (I forget what company it was, but it wasn't anything I'd ever used). I changed my google passwords but that didn't help, so I stopped using it and that did. But I was also getting the phone ones, too. Only with TD. (I have an iPhone so that was while in Safari.)
  20. I'd rather not picture Delmon Young playing LF anymore, either.
  21. Yeah, I wouldn't be so sure about that ...
  22. Yes, I'm going backwards but I had something else to add and another reason to choose #2. No way can I make it 90 minutes with a full bladder. No way. Can't. Be. Done. Not by this chica.
  23. Van, since you aren't even 25 yet ... how does this hyperthetical work for you?
