  1. So to keep comments in one place, continue here: http://twinsdaily.com/topic/35902-front-page-twins-sign-tyler-clippard/
  2. Travel is looking clear on both ends of my trip on Tuesday. That said ... I don't know (yet) from where the aircraft is coming that will take me to my destination. Sometimes it's not about the weather on either end of the trip. If it's one of those routes that is just back and forth, great; but often it's coming from elsehwere. So, I have gotten into the habit when I fly American to check the onbound flight of the inbound flight of the inbound flight to determine how my travel day may go. (Can't seem to do that on Southwest as they tend not to give out inbound aircraft information when you check flight status info. And once when I asked a gate agent from where the aircraft was coming for our flight, she answered 'Why do you need to know that?' and I said, 'So I can track potential delays for myself.' She scoffed and said, 'You don't need to know that.' I mean, what?)
  3. I used to do that more often, but it's just too expensive ... both in cost and/or miles ... but once a year ... I'm good with that, especially since I travel to/from Florida about 6-7 times/year.
  4. Just one ... imo. I upgraded myself this trip ... Merry Christmas to me ... because, yeah ... this time of year traveling ... I want comfort and space.
  5. If you ever have difficulties like this again, or other site navigation and 'how to' questions, you can always ask a moderator ... either by PM, or in the Questions forum. But since finding the Questions forum might take 2 hours, here's a link: http://twinsdaily.com/forum/13-questions-about-minncentric/ Mostly it's just ... click on 'Forums', then keep scrolling down ... there's more to the site than just Twins ML and Twins MiL forums here.
  6. I'm not sure any of those are the ones we need to step forward. Buxton was doing fine, until ... we just need him to stay on the field. But I guess that could be considered a step forward if he manages to do that. Kep? Wow ... I think that's asking a lot, but he could ... if Bux stays healthy and Kepler can stay in one position and do what he does, he might move forward another step. If Berrios stays strong all season, I'll take that. But I'm looking for steps forward from others ... I'd like to see Rosario keep his momemtum all season and I'd like to see Odo take a big step ... maybe have his starts go one more inning and stay sharp.
  7. Moderator note (and this is to everyone despite my quote of one poster): I know some of us are frustrated, disappointed, among other things ... but please let's discuss the topic at hand and not use every thread to express general frustration, disappointment and other things. If a topic doesn't interest you, we have many, many others available for your input. Blogs are great places for open expression ... just sayin' ... it's a good place to write out your thoughts. And TD has some great blogs. Yours could be among them. Thank you.
  8. Since this is a minor league signing, this thread was moved to the Minor League forum. It also received a mention in Seth's 'Minor League Signings' thread.
  9. Lol ... very punny ... It's from this guy at work who is in some text group labeled 'Dad jokes.' I'm still not clear what constitutes a Dad joke ... I think they are better clarified as Chief jokes.
  10. Moderator note: This article and thread are about Royce Lewis. I appreciate bringing some others into the discussion for comparison's sake, but let's not take the tangent road and please keep this discussion on Royce Lewis. If you want to discuss Cavaco, or any other player for that matter, you are more than welcome to start a thread in the Minor League forum or write a blog. Thank you.
  11. Ahh ... yeah ... good question.
  12. In past years, we could always order whatever was on the menu. It's not part of the ticket, but is an extra cost you incur.
  13. Decorating for Christmas, I dropped our copy of “A Christmas Carol” on my toe. It hurts like the Dickens.
  14. No, we never have had that. But red cabbage at every holiday meal is a requirement. The way the Danes make it is on the sweeter side than the Germans. My aunt made plenty of other things throughout the years ... leverpastej ... not one of my favorites. (It's a liver pate, or sorts, sort of). And plenty of kringle!
  15. Awww
  16. The Cubs need pitching. Don’t think they will be giving up on or giving up Darvish.
  17. No, this was my fault ... I broke it ... Ted's article on the FO ... the comments on the front page are broken. But this one on Astudillo is fine. But you can comment on Ted's article in the forum, just not from the home page.
  18. It's radio ... who would know?
  19. Hahahahaha ... I'm laughing at this because of an inside joke with a friend ...
  20. Thanks, bird, for this information and insight.
  21. Yeah ... my Mom refuses to make it anymore ... too greasy. It was almost always my Aunt who made it.
  22. You two are getting way off topic! And now I'm hungry ...
