    I’m not sure what this means. Rocco is pretty much forced to trust who the FO gives him. Ober will pitch tonight. Not sure if that move has been officially made yet, but Ober has been or will be activated and pitch tonight, and Cotton has been (or will be) dfa’d, again. Varland will probably pitch one of the double header games on Saturday as the extra player. And I assume Winder pitch the other. I haven’t followed who is off the IL and who is still rehabbing, etc

    I don't think they are giving up on him. They are just making room on the 40-man for players that need to be added. No one is going to claim him at this point, he will more than likely get an invite to ST as a non-roster invitee and he can still pitch his way back onto the roster. Giving up on him would be releasing him.
