White Sox are a mess. Dirty, stinky socks. To put it lightly.
At 15-48, they are by far the worst team in MLB, and on Thursday night it was announced that they are “actively seeking packages” for their superstar center fielder Luis Robert Jr., per MLB insider Jon Heyman.
Normally these kinds of trades are not made between division rivals...but are they a special case and in need of a major overhaul?
In about 1500 ABs, Robert is hitting .274 with 81 HR (about 18.4 ABs/HR). He also has good speed, with 49 SBs in that span, with an OPS of .822.
He is also injury prone. Would it be worth going after him? Or is this Byron Buxton part II and not worth the risk?
His contract is reasonable the next 2 years, with 2 club options afterwards. We have the pipeline to do it. Thoughts?
