Morneau is as close to perfect as there is IMO. I don't need over the top, grouchy, arrogant know it all, talk down to me like I don't know, stupid comparisons, etc. I don't feel he needs to speak up more or be more enthusiastic. He's being himself, and that's the best thing about him doing games.

My two cents here is I'd rather have Rooker playing everyday in AAA than one or two times a week in the majors. Also makes more sense to keep Willians on the roster because he could go a week without getting into a game and be fine. Not sure you could say that about Rooker or Kiriloff. -

I think the league office would deny that in a heartbeat. The plan was to allow one 2 way player, to be designated as such, that would not be counted among pitchers. But they also know who really could be considered in that spot. So no sneaking Randy Dobnak through there.

They had already established that rosters would be 26 until Spetember when you could go to 28 starting with 2020 before the pandemic. Unfortunatley after making a 13 pitcher max, they've now decided not to limit it.

i believe in order to do that he'd have to be put on the 40 man roster and then the IL. -

They traded for Smiley because Morris walked. no way they would have had both. Although they replaced him with Josh Willingham i think Michael Cuddyer should be mentioned.

Not aimed directly at you here . I'm sick of hearing this or things close to it. Yes the Twins haven't done much but the same can be said for just about every team. If players were signing and lots of trades were being made I'd get it. But we need to be patient and wait until things start to happen all across the majors.

It was all about his visa. He could not get it done because everything closed down in DR mid-March. Was still closed as of June 25th as well.

I think that's right. So instead I'll say 120 games played or 450 PA's.

I'd offer the 2nd year as an option that vests if he hits certain thresholds. Make them easy to get, like 25 HR's or 130 games.
