    This might be an emotional statement as opposed to using sound logic: sign both Dozier and Mauer to new contracts.

    The negatives mentioned aren't really negatives (at least not yet), just potential missed opportunities. This unit appears stacked, it should be fun to watch them this season. Does Molitor have any plans to use the bullpen in a nontraditional fashion? He might have the weapons to make something out of the ordinary work.

    It is reassuring to see the Twins replenish their minor league system. The Twins will need this next wave if they are going to be a legitimate contender over the next 5-7 years and make a sustained run at the playoffs.

    When will Sano run out of "chances" with the team, media, and fans? Maybe he is what he is - an (undisciplined) and talented DH. With talent so great you put up with the rest of it and hope he matures someday and eventually "gets it."

    This will be a pivotal season in Mauer's career. Especially if he has his eyes on taking a run at the Hall of Fame. Adding a Gold Glove and a World Series ring would boost Joe's HOF credentials immeasurably.
