  1. I haven't seen anything to suggest that.
  2. May after 25 starts is a 4, and probably our 6th or 7th best starter at this point in time. Sano is 20-25 errors waiting to happen at 3B.
  3. Both our starting staff and bullpen will be above average as we contend for the Central. Who cares about that other stuff.
  4. What's simple is, the strongest part of our farm team is power arms in the pen. That we didn't add flexibility to those plans is nonsense.
  5. Our favorite team had no intention of getting rid of a starting pitcher with a career record of 41-29. Could you list the 4M relievers available to us you wanted to block our young prospects? Hopefully they are not the decline phase relievers from the NL requiring multi-year contracts. You realize they will start regressing before they even discover where the men's rooms are at Target Field.
  6. We didn't sign any free agent starting pitchers this off season. Now if you're doing the hindsight thing, no one screamed harder than you to sign FA's. Shame on our favorite team for not signing the exact ones you desired. We moved arguably the 6th or 7th best starter to the bullpen. This sounds so much like Meyer, Pinto, Arcia, Zach Jones etc.
  7. It's patently absurd for you to accuse me of saying that. Could you be more specific on which roster blunders you are speaking of?
  8. Just look at the stats for his first 25 starts. If he couldn't pitch out of the pen, he may not have even made the team. Anyway we can stop overrating board favorites?
  9. Do you have names for those some other teams? Sounds to me like fan board moves.
  10. Park is going to be better than board favorites Meyer, Pinto, and Arcia combined. Also, my grandmother's lefsa was to die for.
  11. He's not going to become a pumpkin at 27. Depth and competition is a good thing. Our scouts found Pressly and Graham for $50,000 a piece. I don't see a downside.
  12. Yeah, it may have been different if he hadn't crapped the bed in Rochester.
  13. They didn't give up on him last season, he broke his ankle.
  14. I don't consider a broken ankle an ailment.
  15. We had another member say the Pelfrey spat in March, caused our favorite team to move May, months later, out of the rotation, thereby costing them a playoff spot. I think Pinto forgetting to duck 3 types during one PA during ST cost them a playoff spot.
  16. Why not? It's the slow time of the season, if you have something to present to the board, now is the time.
  17. Actually, that was TR's first draft back. Once again, great job by the only GM I am aware of who completely rebuilt a mid-market team in less than 4 years. For those still able to follow along, it is my belief few teams after becoming a contender still have a farm system loaded with talent, particularly at the top of the pipeline.
  18. Sometimes you have to do that, but we don't know if this is sometimes yet. What team would cut damages goods without giving them a chance to reestablish themselves?
  19. Actually, there is no youth movement. The goal is to dethrone the Royals. As I have posted before, neither TR or King Theo have announced a youth movement.
  20. I'm hoping I can get a feel for the pecking order of the power arms in the pen. So much depth, how do they line up out of ST behind the opening day roster?
  21. The trade chips that are actually in demand are Berrios, Polanco, Kepler, and May. If we trade any of those, the TD meltdown on moving Sano to RF will seem like an intelligent conversation.
  22. Can you provide the names of the players you are referring to? TR would say these things have a way of working themselves out. My observation is the board overrates our prospects and have little understanding of normal turnover/wastage if you will.
