    This was foretold when the front office punted on getting help for the rotation. Maybe they were right, I'm not sure it would have mattered. We could have run Mike Minor or Stroman out there tonight and lost 4-2 instead of 8-2. But at least we'd have given ourselves a chance.

    It's too bad the pitching tanked. At least the offense showed some of that never give up attitude they did all season.

    Gibson maybe but the game was pretty much over. You weren't going to get through the 6-9th just with May, Romo and Rogers. Stashak or Graterol was going to have to give you something. And we saw how Duffy looked coming back after throwing 20 + pitches last night.

    The Twins are capable of signing a big-time FA if they choose. I'm not saying we will. We'll probably be the little engine that could forever.

    Do the un-Twins thing for once and do whatever it takes to get Cole. Trade Rosario + prospects for another starter. Bring back Pineda as the #4. Sign another bullpen lefty.

    The front office told us this wasn't our year when the refused to part with any of their top 15 prospects at the trade deadline. So instead of starting Mike Minor today, it's Randy Dobnak.
