  1. When you’re hot, you don’t question the method. I was just at Grand View Lodge in Nisswa, MN for vacation. We were playing bingo at the pool and they called 3 straight numbers on my bingo card. It didn’t matter that my hat was on backwards. That was my thing now until the numbers changed. My mom ended up getting a bingo because she’s lucky with games like that. My backwards hat made a difference in her winning $50 I’m fully convinced of that!
  2. Pictured: Allen Roden in his first meeting with the hitting coaches
  3. Perhaps. It could also be the human element with Joe preferring to pitch to Vazquez
  4. You and I just looked it up at the same time
  5. Okay I just looked this up to settle the debate. In Joe Ryan starts, it was 16 starts by Vazquez, 6 starts by Jeffers before Vazquez was injured. Interesting it was tied 6-6 and then Vazquez played the last 10 starts by Joe.
  6. Plenty of role players have gotten paid way more than their real value because they were on a championship team for sure.
  7. I’m about 90% certain Vazquez caught almost every one of his starts the first half of the season. But too lazy to look it up.
  8. Absolutely. $100 million sets up generations of future family members. Very few reach that point in their professional careers. Until they reach F You money, they’re taking the most amount of money they can get no matter what that organization’s championship expectations are.
  9. Trevor Plouffe and Trevor May mention this often on their podcasts online. 99% of professional players work to set their family up for life. After that, then winning a championship matters. Money always talks
  10. Stephon Gilmore probably on speed dial if I had to guess
  11. Same but I get it if they think he’s not healthy anymore. He was an old CB prospect (24) when they drafted him. He’s already 26 - same age as Cam Akers who was released again by the Saints and it feels like he’s been in the league forever.
  12. Bizarre. Selling low on a 3rd round pick from 2 years ago. They must be convinced he hasn’t recovered from his injury last season.
  13. Joe Ryan for sure does. Wasn’t Vazquez basically his personal catcher?
  14. If he wants to be a key reason why a team wins a championship he needs to get out of here ASAP. But money talks, as we see all the time in other sports. Myles Garrett wrote many paragraphs requesting a trade from the Cleveland Browns because he can’t see winning a Super Bowl with them. But he was offered $40 million a year and weird! Now he thinks he can be a key piece to a championship team in Cleveland. I don’t envision the Twins offering Joe a 6/$180 million deal to make amends with him
  15. Absolutely. I truly believe he was hoping to get traded at the deadline. And I believe he’s going to request a trade in the offseason.
  16. Agreed. We will find out if he ends up in the low or high 3s. Things aren’t trending well for him lately
  17. He is the complete opposite of Brian Dozier. Dozier was ice cold until June then he would go on a tear for 3 months.
  18. The inevitable 2nd half decline is happening for Joe
  19. I read Jacobi Myers wants out in Las Vegas. I’d prefer him over Thielen if the cost is close
  20. 2 weeks until opening day. Time is running out to get another WR in the building and up to speed on the offense. Our WR room looks really weak with Addison suspended and Nailor evidently has his hand in a cast.
  21. Per Hayes: José Urena cleared waivers and elected free agency. #MNTwins
  22. I wouldn’t do it for Keaschall until we know where he’s going to end up in the field. His valuation is wildly different if he ends up at 1B vs 2B vs corner OF. Jenkins on the other hand has the pedigree and good odds of sticking at a premium position in CF. I will take the risk on that one.
  23. You can argue that Baltimore is following our path… 101 wins in 2023, 91 wins in 2024, to now what appears to be an 85+ loss season. All because their ownership pulled back on spending and their FO thought they were the smartest guys in the room.
  24. Life moves quickly in baseball. 2 years ago Adley was the top prospect in all of baseball. If anyone called for him Baltimore would have laughed and hung up the phone.
