  1. I’ll be up later but listening to the radio feed. My dog is now on summer hours where we do our long walk after the heat of the day instead of mid afternoon in the winter. Which, by the way, I will miss Glen Perkins on the radio side. He’s fantastic whenever he gets a chance in that role.
  2. Don’t they have any idea that this is the most important game of the season so far? Followed by tomorrow being the most important game of the season, etc etc until we’re eliminated from playoff contention?
  3. If he returns to his 2023 form, that’s definitely good enough offensive production for 1B. One of Keaschall, Lee, and Lewis is gonna be out of a starting job in the infield if they keep their current positions. We know Lee isn’t an MLB caliber SS so I’m glad that experiment appears to be over. I’m ready for the Culpepper era to begin at SS
  4. It’s not an open freeway anymore for Royce to return to MLB. He’s gotta hit and potentially learn a new position too.
  5. So far I’m just happy that the FO isn’t taking the bait after a hot start in St Paul. Lewis crushing inferior AAA pitching doesn’t do much for me. I hope they have a long term plan to actually solve his problems.
  6. If you want to see what it actually looks like when a GM goes rogue and selects a QB the coach doesn’t like, google Sean McVay’s press conference after they selected Ty Simpson. He couldn’t even fake enthusiasm for his new QB.
  7. For his long term future I think Tampa was smart to try to add a couple more pitches to his arsenal which led to the bad results. Twins are just having him throw his 2 best pitches with success. Sustainable? Who knows.
  8. Fun game to watch. When I tuned in during the 3rd inning, I figured I would Abe Simpson circle out of the room.gif - No idea why Boston let Slaton out to dry but thanks! Keep it going with the youth movement. Keaschall with a bounce back game. Gonzalez working the count every PA.
  9. Must have been 9 at one time… It was mentioned on the TV broadcast if Banda recorded a save it broke the team record for most relievers recording a save in a season.
  10. My fear is he’s called up after a week of good hitting against inferior AAA pitching thinking he’s fixed. He’s now hit HRs in consecutive days but I’m not ready to take the bait anytime soon.
  11. That was an ideal outcome for Duran in that plate appearance. Especially when he swung at complete junk out of the zone. Banda had him fooled
  12. We’re watching hard throwers for Boston. Not pitchers. There’s a difference… Jorge Alcala was one that both of these teams know well.
  13. Hit the bill of his batting helmet. Unbelievable
  14. That baseball was millimeters away from being catastrophically bad for Outman
  15. Remember when Boston used to pay up for actual MLB stars? Now they’re pinch hitting former ex Twins scrubs.
  16. Mickey Gasper hasn’t heard cheers this loud for him in his entire life
  17. Old friend Mickey Gasper vs. Anthony Banda. The matchup of the season. Dare I say millennium
  18. This Boston reliever is throwing cookies tonight
