  1. The Wild randomly pull off the biggest trade in franchise history on a Friday night in mid December.
  2. I bailed on the NFL game way early and watched Die Hard. Definitely a good movie, one that I could see being a repeat watch during the holidays. It's aged well with of course non-stop action and funny moments to break up the action scenes
  3. What helps the Vikings is Atlanta's pick is gone regardless. They have 0 reason to tank and give the Rams a top 10 pick.
  4. Trading top 10 QBs in the prime of their careers isn't common, so forgive me but I'm just listing "comps" up to you for definition... 33 age season Matt Stafford traded to Rams for 2 1st round picks + 3rd + 2nd contract age 27 Jared Goff 26 year old Jay Cutler traded to Bears for 2 1st round picks + 3rd + age 27 Kyle Orton 27 year old Deshaun Watson to Browns for 3 1st round picks + 3 mid to late round picks 34 year old Russell Wilson traded to Broncos for 2 1st round picks 2 2nd round picks + Noah Fant TE and Drew Lock After reviewing this, the Vikings likely have to offer 3 1st round picks, a 2nd or 3rd (maybe multiple), McCarthy, and maybe 1 more player (Oliver, Redmond, etc?)
  5. A trade of Burrow likely includes a new contract extension as well to push out the large # cap hits. Still worth getting a top 5 QB in the game who has 5-7 great to elite years left in him. Burrow will be light years better than whatever McCarthy ends up being as a QB.
  6. That's why I say move heaven and earth to make it happen. The lost players in order to make the money work doesn't really matter because the upgrade at QB is massive.
  7. Stop me if you’ve heard this before. Kirko Chainz throwing way short of the sticks on 3rd down
  8. Fun to think about… I also wouldn’t be surprised if he retires at an early age like Andrew Luck. He’s taken a ton of hits and dealt with a lot of injuries
  9. We probably would trade Addison beforehand to gain additional draft picks to add to the deal for Burrow
  10. IIRC Aaron Rodgers reworked his contract to make him tradeable to the Jets. Burrow could do the same if he’s motivated to get out of Cincy
  11. Yeah if the Jets are in on him (as they should and frankly 20 other teams) they have by far the most draft capital to trade away. Best we could do is 3 1st round picks, and a couple of players like Turner and Redmond to help kickstart their D rebuild.
  12. The topic of the day for talking heads is Joe Burrow being introspective in his latest press conference. Talking about what’s the point of doing this if he’s no longer having fun? Playing on a team with a terrible OL and even worse defense is getting to him… If he seeks a trade in the offseason, the Vikings need to move heaven and earth to make it happen. You send 3 1st round picks and don’t think twice. If it takes cutting other players to make the money work you do it.
  13. Especially from 2017 - 2023 ish. Record low interest rates and funny money being spent all over the place. If Average Joes like us were qualifying for sub 3% interest rates on mortgages, imagine the opportunities available to billionaire families.
  14. I see it's now available on Amazon Prime so I will add it to the list to watch and report back
  15. Home Alone, Home Alone 2 Lost in New York, Elf, The Santa Clause, and Frosty the Snowman as Christmas classics. Christmas Vacation, Spirited - Apple TV flop with Will Ferrell and Ryan Reynolds, Miracle on 34th Street, Candy Cane Lane - Amazon Prime flop with Eddie Murphy Controversial take... I have never seen Die Hard.
  16. Like I said in Cody Christie’s rumor post… Are we ever going to learn our lesson not to take Charley Walters seriously? He is the biggest hack writer in the state by a mile. If he’s the only person reporting something, it’s 100% wrong.
  17. And continue to be employed? It’s amazing really.
  18. Have no fear Chief. I have been reading that building a bullpen from scratch is the easiest thing to do in baseball. Even though contenders look for 1 or more bullpen arms every year at the deadline.
  19. Incredible. The Colts have a tough 4 game stretch to end the season.
  20. Rocco Baldelli is joining the Dodgers in a Front Office role.
  21. Networks like ESPN want it both ways because they're paying for both the CFP and all of these bowl games. Players have to decide basically right now if they're going to transfer to a different school - so why would they play a bowl game if an injury derails their next destination in college? Or if they intend to enter the NFL draft, there's no reason for them to risk injury in a meaningless bowl game. The top echelon schools like Notre Dame, Texas, Ohio State, etc have a CFP or bust mentality. Why would they care about the Duke's Mayo Bowl when all season they were striving to make the CFP? It's a broken system and more players/teams will opt out of future bowl games. Except PJ Fleck... Winning the Duke's Mayo Bowl every year is his Super Bowl.
  22. It really is a privilege that teams in the central part of the US are allowed to play in this coastal elite baseball league. The game is in a great spot! No changes needed.
  23. Hurts is locked in for 2026 contract wise but they could get out of it after next year. The Eagles are one of the better planning ahead franchises so it wouldn’t surprise me if they’re keeping close tabs on the 2027 QB draft class
  24. A missed FG to close the half. And that's about all I got in this slop fest tonight.
