    If we’re talking pro labor here, I would want the majority of baseball players to make millions of dollars based on merit. Once they hit service time milestones they’re eligible for higher salaries.

    If the MLB ever wants to expand… Which is approaching 35 years since they have… League wide revenue sharing 1 for all approach has to be the answer. Otherwise why would you ever buy a franchise in cities that will never generate the money NYC, LA, Chicago, etc produces?

    Imagine a sport like NFL where it wasn’t league wide revenue sharing. The Green Bay Packers would have relocated 50 years ago.

    I want a cap, a floor, universal revenue sharing at a minimum. Increase the compensation for players earlier in their career. I’m also good with decreasing years of control before a team has a decision to make.

    Sad but true. But I still can’t picture either side is stupid enough to stop the momentum the sport is gaining again. If the 2027 season is lost they’re going to lose a lot of fans whether that’s the die hard or casual or anywhere in between.

    Us fans will have nothing but time to debate this when the lockout happens… Both sides would be incredibly stupid to sacrifice a full season over this. I am optimistic a full 162 game season will happen in 2027.

    Rojas is one of those on the roster that’s a bit contradicting on “buying” this year. He has upside no doubt. He just can’t find the strike zone enough.

    LA Dodgers are loaded with 4 corner OF as top 50 prospects in baseball. They don’t care they’ll get the best international talent and develop more draft picks.

    On that topic - Feels like the writing is on the wall that Detroit is trading him now. The script has been written he will be on his way to the Dodgers so they can 3-peat before the lockout.
