I certainly don’t have high expectations. I like the direction Kwesi is taking. As you said, it’s clearly taking a step back before hopefully taking two steps forward.
Overall, can’t complain. They’re gambling for upside with Davenport (26 years old) and Murphy (25). Almost every overpaid veteran is off the team now except Kirk and Harry the Hitman. Solid foundation of players 27 and younger… including two franchise tackles, game changing WR, and arguably a top 3 TE in the league.
It will be interesting to see what happens with Hunter. I can go either way with that decision. He’s still young enough to be highly productive for 3-4 more years. But if someone offers a 1st round pick, that will help make a play for one of the top QB prospects next draft.
