Correct. What else would Sonny Gray say at this time? Of course he should consider returning to the organization where he’s played his best stretch of baseball in his career.
I was that way with tomatoes… After the 2 volunteer cherry tomato plants blossomed, I could not keep up with picking and eating them. Plus the other 3 tomato plants that I planted myself. I’ve been donating them or giving them away for the last 6 weeks.
Depending on if we go through all of the stewed tomatoes that we canned earlier this year, I’ll cut back on the tomatoes next year. I wish I planted another row of onions.
Have no fear. When Minnesota gets an expansion team in the National Pickleball Association and wins it all in 2040, all will be forgotten. They will unite every MN sports fan young and old.
Do we have a link for the first poll in the winter? From memory I think I said mid 80s wins. First team to 82 wins is the AL Central champ.
The Twins pretty much met my expectations in the regular season. And obviously exceeded it in the postseason by winning a series.
Concur. You get it, the discussion doesn’t have to be either/or. The Twins have enough money to sign a frontline FA starter/trade for one, and acquire a middle of the order bat.
Lots of ups and downs over 162 games. Early on in the season I did not enjoy watching the team. The offense was struggling to score more than 4 runs a game, and the strikeouts were piling up. It pains me to say this, but the team became more enjoyable to watch for me when Buxton was shut down, and the 3 rookies got their extended run of play time.
The Twins were trending up at the end of the season, which is a welcomed sight after the previous teams crashed and burned in the final stretch of the season.
If they are going to miss out on the top free agent SPs like Gray, Nola, Snell, Ohtani (lol), and Ed Rodriguez, then I’m good with making another trade. Why would we not double down on our strength for next year?
This team HAS to sign offense in free agency. It’s going to be very tough to replicate the pitching performance from this season. The future depends on Royce Lewis truly being a star for a full season, resolving the Buxton situation, and replacing Sonny Gray/Kenta Maeda.
Rocco really needs to learn some lessons from Daniel Tiger about reducing stress. When you feel so mad that you wanna roar, take a deep breath and count to four
