    The hype is high for Penix right now but there are a couple things working against him. He’ll turn 24 years old by draft night, and he’s only been healthy 2 out of 6 college seasons. I don’t think he’ll be gone by the time the Vikings are drafting. He could slide to the 2nd round

    The good thing is we are finally entering an offseason in the positive for cap space. Harry the Hitman and Harrison Phillips I would guess are removed from the roster to add to the total. Still a ton of holes to fill.

    Haven’t dug deep into the offseason yet, but I’m ready to wipe the slate clean. We’ve been in win now mode since 2017. We tried and it didn’t work out. Tons of holes to fill, and not enough cap space to make it work. Time for a reset.

    Reminiscent of 2020 when they started terribly, rallied a little bit, then by Christmas it was clearly over. We’ve endured worse. 2016 starting I believe 7-1 then losing every game after that.

    In an alternate universe where the Vikings maintained the 6 seed, I think we could have beat Detroit in the playoffs.

    The Rams are going to SHRED the Lions to pieces next week. The Lions are bigger frauds than the Vikings last season.

    Okay, and what should any business do when a percentage of their revenue is lost? I am more concerned that a concrete TV deal isn't done right now than anyone they could have signed in free agency to this point.

    This is going to be one of the more fascinating Off seasons for the Vikings in quite some time. 2 QBs, 1 feature RB, WR 3, LG, C, RG, the whole DL, 2 edge rushers, and a CB are all needs. This feels like just the beginning to a painful rebuild.

    I’ll take a stud edge rusher like Jared Verse at 10th overall if they can’t trade up into the top 4-5 picks for a QB. Then take a QB in the 2nd round. They also need OL because Risner is not a long term answer at LG. I’d argue Bradbury should be replaced at C too.
