    I mean, Falvey was still here making the call to offer arbitration to Larnach. I get he’s the toss in, but they should have targeted someone else who isn’t redundant in this organization. Nature of the business and all of that, Roden coming to the Twins couldn’t have been a worse fit for him. He wasn’t going to get a fair shot with E-Rod and Jenkins within striking distance of MLB.

    It once again begs the question, why did Falvey take Roden in the trade package with Rojas? His path to playing time was questionable from the get go when we have a dozen other LH hitting corner OF. Now we've spent the last year and a half not knowing who he is or can be at the MLB level.

    Will Alex Jackson see another plate appearance before the end of the month? I share the deep frustration with purposely having a short bench. It's absolute madness.

    Free agency effectively ending before Christmas only makes a long offseason feel even longer... In the past I've thought a free agency frenzy window would be entertaining. As I've gotten older, I have grown to appreciate the patience of a baseball offseason.

    I'm really tempted to attend tonight to pick up the yacht rock hat... But I'm also going to the state fair this weekend and know I will be spending way too much money there.

    Unfortunately there have been a few accounts frozen in time over 12 MLB seasons posting here.

    That would be nearly impossible unless Twins Daily is inspecting DMs… I’ve met a few dozen TD people in real life over the years!

    If I’m Jeremy Zoll I’m calling up E-Rod for sure on September 1. I’m not thrilled about giving Roden any time in the OF in September so that could be a transaction. I’m looking for an IF for the other September call up. And likely give Mendez a shot at 1B or corner OF.

    With Walker Jenkins getting the call, I assume that’s the end of the road for Buck this season. Might as well put him on the 10 day IL and if he can play at some point in September they can activate him.

    The site is easy to navigate on both PC and mobile. I like that the forums are allowed to breathe a little bit, and there's of course tons of new articles every day. No complaints here...

    I'll also add that we learned Wallner won't be a part of the future here, and I think Austin Martin is probably in the same boat. Agreed on Lewis, still on the fence about him, but I still lean towards not giving up on him yet. The short bench is really killing us right now... The FO is the big under achiever at this moment. August is just about to wrap up and Alex Jackson has 1 PA all month. It defies all logic.

    I was one of the fans that thought the Twins would be an easy 90+ loss team last offseason. So they have overachieved in that aspect. The bullpen was downright awful at the beginning of the season, then our fortunes changed a bit when Yoendrys Gomez was presented on a silver platter from Tampa. As well as converting Morris to the pen - which it appears he may be running out of gas now. The Twins achieved some goals I had in mind for this season. We needed to find out once and for all if some of these 25-28 year old players should be counted on for future Twins teams. We needed to sift through a ton of bullpen arms to find 2-3 building blocks.

    It was going to be a steep climb to make the playoffs without Buck and Ryan. We don’t have enough depth and talent to make up the difference. Well, we could, but Jeremy Zoll is too afraid of adding Walker Jenkins for a playoff rally.
