  1. Also possible that the Twins prefer a temporary LHP to start in the near future; or they don't want to keep jerking May around between the rotation and the bullpen.
  2. So "the Twins are so ignorant" is more likely than that May is not ready to go 6-8 innings in Milone's next starting slot? I don't think it is the Twins who are ignorant in this case.
  3. May is no longer "stretched out" for 6-8 innings. Duffey has been a starter all season.
  4. In two years, someone will mention Hu, and you cynics will all say "Who?"
  5. No, Who (Hu) is one of these minor leaguers. The other is Tapioca, and insiders tell me he is soft.
  6. Invite Joe over to your house and have him kick your dog! Is that enough fire for you?
  7. "Don't call me Shirley"....Kareem Abdul Jabbar in "Airplane"
  8. If Mauer would take a pay cut, he could sacrifice the future well-being of his own family to help the Twins sign future clones of Ricky Nolasco, Tsyui Nishioka, Jason Marquis, Joe Mays, Nick Blackburn, Matt Capps....I'm sure he is really tempted to finance more of THOSE disasters!
  9. That ("If he cared about winning, he would take a pay cut and restructure his contract.").. was Seth's contribution to the ARRRRRRGGGGHHHHHH!-worthy overused comments. I doubt that Seth actually subscribes to that stupid quote! But I guess the suckers are biting today.
  10. If he cared about winning, he would have demanded a trade to a team that wins.
  11. If the alternative is two more Ricky Nolasco signings; I favor the "same ole Twins cheap, cheap, cheap". Trades and signings don't always make you better!
  12. If you think stats like Hildenberger's "come around every year", look again. Even dominant pitchers have off-days. He was sharp every day, which indicates a repeatable skill level, rather than dominance.
  13. If Danny Santana ranks lower in WAR than does Tyler Jay and Kohl Stewart, then IMO: "War, huh yeah. What is it good for? Absolutely nothing, oh hoh, oh. War huh yeah. What is it good for? Absolutely nothing, say it again y'all. War, huh good God!!"
  14. I am guessing that Carlos has a better future than Johan.
  15. In your list, which Santana is ranked #4 and which Santana is unranked?
  16. On the subject of great names, I submit "Christian Turnipseed" minor league pitcher for the Orioles. I DID NOT MAKE THIS UP!
  17. Adam Brett Walker now has 82 RBI n 92 games. If his team actually played a 162-game-schedule, he would be on pace for 144 RBI. And Trevor Hildenberger got promoted from Cedar Rapids to Fort Myers!' WELL DESERVED!!!!!!!
  18. And Trevor Hildenberger got promoted from Cedar Rapids to Fort Myers!' WELL DESERVED!!!!!!!
  19. Adam Brett Walker now has 82 RBI n 92 games. If his team actually played a 162-game-schedule, he would be on pace for 144 RBI.
  20. I agree, but if the "no room at Fort Myers" argument is stopping THAT promotion, I would prefer a double-jump to NO promotion at all which is a definite motivation-kiler!
  21. IMO Hildenberger's performance numbers warrants consideration for a possible double-jump to Chattanooga where he can replace Jones and Burdi
  22. I apologize for repeating myself, but what does Trevor Hildenberger have to do to get promoted from the Cedar Rapids Kernels? 0.80 ERA; 14SV/15SVO; 45IP,24H,59K,5BB (almost 12:1 K/BB ratio); .153BAA; 0.64 WHIP (are you kidding?)
  23. Fryer almost fainted after fieldng a bunt in the July 12 game vs. the Tigers. He looked to first base, THEN looked to second base which is fundamentally backward. He then looked again to first and threw wildly over second base into center-field. The throw looked like a blooper over Dozier's head. Everyone makes errors, but few have a obvious panic attack on a routine play.
