    Houston's if you can. Almost always go with the opposing team's broadcast. Unfortunately, I have yet to see an Astros broadcast in MLB Extra Innings this year to include this game.

    Including two games where he gave up 5 ER in 6 innings and another where he gave up 3 ER in 3.1 innings. And 7 of those 10 starts we scored 6 or more runs. In fact, last year, for the 90 pitchers who threw 140 or more innings, he had the most run support by quite a decent margin. He got 6.62, Ray (in the NL) got the second most: 6.21.

    I only knew it cause I read an article on the MLB Twins site that discussed the game and they gave that info.

    statcast had it at a 90% catchable rate. I am guessing that is where his number came from.

    Fangrapghs gives us categories for WAR 0-1 WAR: scrub 1-2 WAR: role player 2-3 WAR: solid player 3-4 WAR: good player 4-5 WAR: all star 5-6 WAR: superstar 6+ WAR: MVP type. I am sure there is some wiggle room there, but it's a decent place to start a discussion when talking about where a player stands with a certain average WAR.

    while I disagree with your belief on the amount of traveling fans that go to games, I agree with the overall idea that parks are built with the hometown fans in mind. And obviously that makes sense.it should be that way, though it certainly doesn't take the sting away from the money wasted when one does travel and the game isn't played. For me, personally, the Rockies are the closest MLB team and they are 8 hours away. The LA teams and the DBacks are 10 hours away. Target is a 20 HR drive without stops. I have to travel if I wanna see a MLB game.

    Anyway, I love TF. For me, it's one of the top 3 parks I have visited. I hope the games I see this June aren't rained or snowed out:-)

    I get that, but let's say you live near the ballpark and a game you have tickets for gets rained or snowed out. It gets rescheduled for a later date in the year. You can just go back then since you live there and see it. The travelling fans just spent the money to travel there and hotel room for nothing. I wish this was theoretical, but I only go to a few MLB games a year (if any depending in circumstances) and I almost always schedule the visits between June 1 and end of August. Yet I have only once had a visit for a series where at least one game wasn't cancelled and rescheduled to a later time if the year. It just stinks to have that happen. One time, I was only going to two games at Coors Field and both games were cancelled and rescheduled for like a month later. Money right down the toilet.

    sounds like your main problem with the retractable roof is how it is used. For those of us who have to travel quite a ways to go to games, and pay a lot to get there and stay in hotels, retractable roofs would be a huge money saver.

    Any idea why there is a day off between a Monday day game and Wednesday night game? Or for that matter, why the series in Seattle starts on Thursday, SKIPS FRIDAY, then continues on Saturday and Sunday? Who made these schedules?

    The last time the Twins had three starters consecutively go at least 6 scoreless was June 2014. Correia, Hughes, Gibson.

    many years ago, I did that with Johan Santana's changeup, but pitches always cheat man. It's not worth it ;-)

    So Buxton's running catch in the 8th, that looked seemingly easy since he caught it shoulder length while charging in, was a 5 star catch according to statcast. He covered 92 feet in 4.8 seconds. That hit ball only gets caught 21% of the time.

    Yeah, I don't really understand. Maybe it's an old school unwritten rule that I've never heard of?

    He definitely has the stuff to be a true ace.

    Why would that be irrational? Rosario has the tools to be a very good hitter. The MVP candidate part might be a bit irrational though ;-)
