  1. If you're unhappy now just wait until those opportunities start going to the guys they (and we) REALLY want to see getting them. Jenkins, Gonzalez, Culpepper, Rodriguez (yeah, yeah, I know, I know) and probably even Mendez and maybe even Sabato need to get looks before the leaves start to fall and, sad as it may make you Fedko slots in closer to the bottom of that list than to the top.
  2. Weird how management brings in guys, fans/writers whine about them and then realize maybe they knew what they were doing.
  3. Must convince that we'd rather see him back up than Jenkins / Gonzalez / Culpepper / Fedko / Mendez / Sabato. Good luck with that.
  4. The cautionary tale is and continues to be Donovan Solano. At this point in 2023 he had 5 RBI. We don't win the division without what he did the rest of the way.
  5. Sounds like that's what he is doing, just on a different level than what we might be used to. Guess that's why they pay him a million dollars
  6. Keaschall COULD be moved to LF. But does a zero WAR with an OPS under .600 scream out to move a guy to a defensive position he has less than two dozen times as a pro?
  7. Brebbia does not exactly inspire confidence. Bowman is pitching well in AAA but his performance over parts of seven seasons at the MLB level screams AAAA ball.
  8. How many teams have a home grown closer. A LOT of them failed elsewhere. For example, the defending AL Champions are on the verge of putting Jeff Hoffman back into that role. He washed out here. That's why a bullpen is possibly the easiest part of a team to rebuild. Just need the right guys in the right roles that click with a particular pitching coach or team philosophy.
  9. I believe you totally misread what I said. I am not at all dismissing Lee's progress, but rather praising it. And saying that it is entirely possible that Lewis takes similar strides over the the next month. And not saying I hope the Keaschall gets where Lee is now but hoping he doesn't go where Lee was a month ago. Ya never know what's gonna happen. Guess that's why they play the games.
  10. I think his future lies at 3B. Lewis at 1B, Culpepper at SS and Keaschall at 2B. Laminate the card.
  11. A month ago he was where Royce Lewis is right now. Same place Luke Keaschall might be a month from now. Things move fast. Like when we had too much starting pitching.
  12. The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim on Line 1.
  13. Don't think anything was said about him being such "at this point." Maybe this is a swing and a miss but i tend to think that 137 professional plate appearances might be a little to early to expect a fella to have proven anything.
  14. Which probably means you think that if new ownership comes in they'll spend like drunken sailors. I hate to burst your bubble but barring MASSIVE changes in the CBA that's just not happening. Do you REALLY see massive changes coming? Do you see the Dodgers, Mets, Phillies, Yankees & Blue Jays agreeing to the changes that would be needed to make a significant difference? If you do get back to me about some very special investment opportunities I'd like to run by you.
  15. I wouldn't worry too much about 2027. Might be LOTS of of folks getting all the rest they need.
  16. If the power is elite, I'm fine with that. It's not like the guys we've spent years rolling thru the the DH sport have put up stand out numbers. Might be nice to pencil a professional hitter onto the lineup card in that spot and laminate it.
