  1. believing that momentum does not exist is merely a part of why analytics has revolutionized the game. and not in a good way
  2. Not all things can be measured analytically. If you disagree please explain the metric for momentum.
  3. Let's start with a hundred and work our way up.
  4. I'd be shocked to be sitting here on April 1 of next year and seeing Correa playing anything but SS. My hope would be Lee at 2B and Royce at 3B and those three guys all playing at least a hundred games together at those spots with Buxton in CF. I know many are concerned about Lewis' defense at 3B but most of those concerns started to arise when Correa was out. Just want to see all the pieces in the right places and how it works. Meanwhile Kiriloff will be on the IL with a hangnail.
  5. i'm happy for you
  6. Drop enough points of Santana's .760 and eventually you get to Kirilloff & Julien.
  7. It's possible that no choice will be needed.
  8. The point is, as bad as folks want to say this team is, not only are they 6 games out of first in the Central, they are 6 games from the best record in the league. Are they going to catch either one? No. Are they going to make the playoffs? Probably. Are they going to play a team convincingly better than them in the playoffs? Probably not?
  9. Just get in. I don't see the 1927 Yankees in the AL this year. Nor the NL.
  10. Shut your mouth. There will be no positivity around here. This is Twins Territory.
  11. We moved on from Rosario a half a decade ago and still haven't adequately replaced him. Be careful what you wish for.
  12. Is it him or the culture the game has created? Can't pitch more than 5 innings. Can't pitch more than 100 innings in a season. Can't play 150 games.
  13. Leave him at 3B. Lee can play 2B
  14. Doesn't want to play 2B. Isn't particularly good at playing 2B. A player with a rather lengthy injury history moving to a position with a greater likelihood of injury. Is there a possible solution?
  15. Kepler's departure won't be bad news. Unless it is. Still looking for the guys who were going to adequately replace Rosario in the other corner to adequately replace Rosario in the other corner.
  16. I'm hesitant to call five and a half up in the wild card backing in. In fact the biggest obstacle in their path now MIGHT be the fact that they are currently sitting in the second wild card spot and potentially staring at three games in Yankee Stadium rather than the three in Houston that the third wild card would get.
  17. Four and a half games up in the wild card. No such thing as a sure thing but the something that dramatically changes for them to NOT be playing in October might involve a flawed team overcoming that deficit. Possible? Sure. Likely? Not so much.
  18. What you've just outlined is a recipe that most of the last one hundred plus teams that have won the World Series has relied on. I don't know why nobody else has thought of this. Oh. Wait. EVERY team will be looking do to this exact thing. ONE will succeed. Maybe that one will be ours.
  19. Worth noting that spending a boatload more money than the Twins for the last 30 years has netted the Dodgers ONE title. Go back 40 years and the two teams are even at two. Just sayin
  20. That's cuz Jeter took the SS job by the balls and never let it go. Lewis has not done such a thing.
