  1. Won't do you any good if you battle your way into contention while the bullets are still flying.
  2. I could make some sort of joke about "if you got a big package." But I won't.
  3. I could cite many multiple examples of trades that don't work out. I could do the same for trades that do work out. I can tell you this much though, if you trade pitching you'll find yourself in a position of needing pitching. Seems kind of foolish.
  4. Actually a conservative BUY or two wouldn't hurt. Backup catcher, a right handed bat and a left handed relief arm might all be helpful.
  5. That's funny. There's not an owner in sports that cares about his customers. They care about their bottom lines. And if you had billions of dollars invested in something, you'd care about the same thing.
  6. DON'T TRADE THEM. Problem solved. Why trade pitching when the end result of doing so will be the fact that you will end up looking for pitching.
  7. Miranda & Julien in a heartbeat. For a bag of baseballs if needed. I'd hang on to Martin in case Castro moves now or in the off-season.
  8. If the PHillies add Andrew Painter to the above package, think about it. Otherwise fuggetaboutit
  9. it's not about my glass. A whole lot of twins fans are going to be disappointed with whoever buys the team.
  10. You've already inadvertently nailed part of the solution. He needs to continue to pile up big league plate appearances. Less than 500 career plate appearances. Trying to evaluate a guy with anything less than a thousand is foolhardy. Move Lewis to 1B, put Lee at 3B and Keaschall at 2B and laminate the card. If Correa needs a day off move Lee over. Let Li'l Roger be the utility guy. Worry about what to do with Culpepper and or Houston when / if they get here. AND you're overlooking one important thing. With the possible exception of Correa, he's the only guy who wears a TC on his hat and plays in the dirt who is consistently able to catch a baseball and throw it to first base.
  11. you don't get better if your best players are playing elsewhere.
  12. Seems as though what you're REALLY saying is that they need to NOT be a below average revenue team. How is new ownership or selling at the deadline going to change that? I'll wait.
  13. It's a fair answer but could also be nothing but pure and utter ********.
  14. Trading either of these guys is paramount to saying we're not going to be competitive until 2028. Why the hell would you do that?
  15. Did a little research. In this century, no team has sold and won a championship in less than eight years. MOST have not been nearly that successful.
  16. So you are saying we CAN make a trade without having to move Ryan or Duran or Jax or Buxton? I'm down with that.
  17. If there's one thing we won't need next year it's a high leverage lefty in the bullpen.
