  1. Bring back the.Viking Chevrolet Guy and SELL SELL SELL. A stellar catching prospect should be at the top of the shopping list.
  2. Catching depth throughout the organization needs to be addressed in the upcoming draft and if the Twins become sellers.
  3. Castro is a free agent after this season. The Twins can sign him if they want him back. He is a talented and versatile player that a team could use before and during the playoffs. Bader had a very good year in 2021 for St Louis and is having a good one this year. But otherwise Bader has been a part-timer with a good glove and a below-mediocre to worse bat - trade! Martin and Keirsey can play CF if Buxton goes down. Since so many teams are eligible for the post-season, I expect France, Paddack, Castro, Bader and Coulombe are likely to net decent prospects in return. Of course, the Twins shouldn’t take bad offers, But at least expect good but belowTop 100 prospect level. The market will be good. Duran or Jax should net a high level prospect, and should be considered for a trade. Granted,if the Twins turn this 3 game winning streak into a 6 game streak, they move out of the Seller’s market.
  4. Before the deadline - SELL (get something for Bader, Castro, Paddack, France, Coulombe). . Lower the payroll, in order to help to get the team sold. The minor league system will be boosted. Moreover, the new owners will be put in a position to reshape the team. While the team is up for sale, it is not likely to succeed.
  5. I’m bringing a lot of sunscreen and wearing a Twins T-Shirt that punishes the team for bad playing (with the notoriously bad former Twin’s name on the back). Drinking more water than beer today.
  6. SWR should move to the bullpen, and DFA Alcala. Louis Varland and Cole Sands are two former starters who have moved there.
  7. What about Grant Balfour? After leaving the Twins, he overcame that unfortunate name to become a pretty good pitcher for several years.
  8. The Twins can’t afford to put Lewis out at 3B on a daily basis until he gives some sign that he is turning it around. He hit a ball nicely last night. Let’s see if he can do that a little more consistently. But at this time, give him at bats in later innings in blow-out wins and losses, and spot starts. Consider that he may never make it back. That stuff happens in baseball.
  9. Because, before the injury, an analyst in a national broadcast proclaimed that Matt Wallner was from “LAKE FOREST” (true!). Wallner will permanently remain in AAA to spare Forest Lake any further confusion.
  10. The Twins will have tough choices to make when Buxton and Wallner return (and later Luke Keaschall). Deshawn Kiersey Jr. is the one obvious player to return to AAA. Then it gets more difficult. Right now, Kody Clemons stays and Jonah Bride is demoted. But Bride has played well. Carson McCusker has earned his promotion but may be demoted in this numbers crunch. The Twins depth is a good “problem” to have.
  11. I always thought it was Dr Gibson and Mr. Kyle. On his good days, he was a top tier pitcher. But then there would be bad days. Nevertheless, he was good enough to have a long MLB career. Still, my expectations for Kyle Gibson were for him to be a top ten starting pitcher in baseball for at least four seasons.
  12. Louis Varland has convinced the new Pope to go by the more formal and dignified Pope Leonardo.
  13. To boost attendance at home and on the road, the Orioles should have Povich reveal DNA paternity results of an opposing player in a ceremony prior to each of Cade’s starts. Even though he is not closely related to Maury.
  14. Lee - 3B Castro - 2B Lewis - Utility and DH (in addition to 3B, get him some time at 1B and 2B)
  15. Julien had a horrible game. At some point Castro and Lewis return. I suspect the most likely to go are Bride and Clemons. Julien and Gaspar should be considered too. Later, Keaschall comes back too. Julien needs to turn it around offensively and defensively, or his days are numbered.
  16. Alcala needs to be sent down to AAA. I don’t care if it’s waived or optioned. He is a disaster right now. Move SWR or Paddack to the pen. Call up Festa to start. The Zebster needs to get himself in a position to be next.
  17. Many here remember the often good but somewhat erratic “Disco” Dan Ford. Others may remember the disco artist - DeBARGE. So, could this be “Disco” Kyle DeBarge???
  18. And we are not even factoring in Knuckleballer Cory Lewis and Lefty Connor Prielipp. It could be said that this conversation here is Pre-Prielipp. Their numbers so far at AAA and AA are not that great. So, maybe this thought is PRIE-mature, even for a PRIE-liminary discussion.
  19. At some point Festa, Matthew’s and/or Morris will earn a promotion to the Big League rotation. Then the Twins will have to decide which starting pitcher gets demoted (the the pen or AAA). SWR and Paddack are the most likely to be demoted. Any of the current starters or one of those 3 AAA guys could be traded. A bevy of good starters throughout the system creates many good options. It’s a nice “problem” to have.
  20. As of April 18, 2025, .642 OPS and .217 BA are current offensive stats for Max Kepler with the Phillies.
  21. So 7-8-9th inning guys? Duran, Coulombe and Sands (or Stewart or Variand)???? Until Jax gets back to normal, put him in lower- leverage roles.
  22. Oops. Spellcheck can be a problem when I’m trying to watch the game through the toxic haze. I meant to write TARGET FIELD. I’m not tech savvy enough to come up with such a creative way to get a dirty word by the TD Censors. My bad.
  23. Oops - spellcheck nailed me there. Here is my corrected post. Target Field is engulfed in smoke from a fire on top of a ramp at 7th St and 1rst Ave
