  1. Fun story but...I must protest. In my mind Klaw = Keith Law and I thought there was going to be a prospect story
  2. From the reports I have read 3B is not really an option for him. He is an OF and needs to hit like one. I think he has a chance to do it.
  3. If Sano struggles at 3B where else can he play? The OF is getting crowded, Mauer is at 1st and Vargas can only DH.
  4. I don't know. 20 years old with 38 BB & 140 SO and progressed 3 levels. That is pretty good.
  5. I wonder why I am not excited about Gordon. For some reason he reminds me of other High School SS the team drafted. I am more hopeful about the International signings then him I hope I am wrong!
  6. I am a huge fan of Polanco at SS. But if he can't field that position his value drops considerably. That being said if he proves himself at the plate but can only play 2B, Dozier should be traded
  7. You didn't say what Meyer's BB/9 is in this post Nor did you show pitchers improve their BB/9 in the MLB.
  8. The battle between May Meyer & Berrios will be fun to watch this spring
  9. What are his off speed pitches like? Is his FB straight or does it have movement. Hopefully he isn't another Jim Hoey
  10. There is too much TV money coming in so do not expect any blackout changes. Better get a VPN or find the game online.
  11. Its a big season for a lot of these guys. There is a lot of bullpen arms in this system so guys like Melotakis, Bard & Chargois are about to get passed by. Rogers & Duffy shot at a back of the rotation starting spot is blocked by Meyer May Berrios Gibson and Nolasco. Barring some unforseen breakout, I just cant see how any of these guys -except Buxton- will get a real chance in 2015.
  12. What were Dozier's & Plouffe's percentage in the minors?
  13. Whatever. As long as he gets better at taking walks I dont care.
  14. If Thorpe is out in 2015 he should be lower than Gonsalves. I think Harrison is a guy who is going to break out next year.
  15. Polanco! I'm excited for this kid. He's gonna be good
  16. Only the given guys. Wheeler & Gilmartin do not have the upside and wont be taken. Goodrum is too raw and won't be taken
  17. I Seth you miss the point. I haven't seen too many sane people say Molitor will stink as a manager. The problem is the front office has no interest in having an outside voice. As you note the day they brought Molitor on the staff was the day the job was his. Ill bet his first interview they just asked him what kind of office furniture he wants. The process was a joke. And for a team with so many problems I would rather they focus on improving ibstead of continuity.
  18. Nope. He first reported it on Sept 30. Furthermore Berardino is reporting ownership wanted him to replace Gardy mid-season 2013 Its obvious the job was his.
  19. Yes. I think its clear their mind was made up from the get-go. Everyone else was just strung along. Its fine Molly is a fine choice and might be a good manager. But to think anyone else had a realistic chance is bit naive.
  20. The country club remains intact! Kudos to Terry Ryan for making a big show of looking outside but at the end of the day, we all knew the choice was made last year when they put Moliter on the bench.
  21. You and your team are bad at marketing the Twins and have been living off the taxpayers who funded your stadium. Your marketing efforts are now a joke. Your product stinks. You had a customer base who gave you enormous goodwill yet you bungled it. Who are you going to fire for being so bad at their profession? How is it you still have a job?
  22. These days I would put: 1 Buxtie 2 Eddie 3 Harrison 4 Walker 5 Minier (he played more in the OF than at 3B) 6 Kepler Harrison is 1 year younger than Walker and scouts say power/bat will come around. If the scouts are right and if he can keep up his plate approach where it is now, he is a nice looking pro. Not a super star but a solid regular. Walker is what he is. intriguing, but scary red flags Kepler just seems to stall
  23. Kepler just can't get going. He had a good end of the year and I was hoping something clicked and he would carry that into the AFL. Its only 3 games, but so far he just strugges against advanced competition. I had him pegged for a AA starter next year, now I think its likely he stays at High A. I think his days as a top 15 prospect are dwindling.
