  1. We look more like some bad White Sox teams than the Twins. Bad defense, non stop strike outs, without much increase in power. There doesn't seem to be much in the way of fundamentals either. This reminds me of the White Sox teams the Twins used to beat up on, expect this Twins team is even worse.
  2. I still think Joe's best spot in the line up is 2nd, but in the short term this could work well. There is no player on the roster who is really a conventional lead off hitter. I like the thought of Joe getting 6 pitches off of the opposing pitcher to start each game. Nunez is still hitting well and can be a good #2 to go into the heart of the line up. I like these two up top and in this order.
  3. I don't understand a lot of the complaining about Rosario, Buxton, Sano, ect. They are doing what many on here were asking for. Getting the kids in the line up. The complaints about Ryan are valid imo. There is no plan, the calendar changed to May and the knee jerk moves started. The biggest problem continues to be the owners who are devoid of reality. Pohlad talks like he thought this team, this year, was something that is years away. Mind boggling.
  4. Is there a way one of the asst coaches can manage the first week or so of the year, and Molly can then take over the rest of the season? Maybe TK could comeback for the first week or so each season.
  5. Good for him, nice to see guys who have struggled in the show have some success. He was supposed to be the hitter if I remember correctly. He generally was being compared to Butera though, so that could be why.
  6. They claimed Sano is not a 3rd baseman anymore, so I would guess it is Nunez. We will see if they were true to their word.
  7. I'd bet my house this is the case. Makes the most sense as Kepler is just chewing seeds up here. A little time up here early to get some BP with the coaches and MLB players is nice, but it's time that he goes down and players regularly again. I would have rather they brought up Mastro, and did anything this winter, but I see why this may have been done. If the Twins continue to flounder in last place, they'll try flipping Murphy for a C level prospect. Not a big deal.
  8. Definitely concerning. Is there any reason to think he can not regain the velocity over time? I remember several guys who were not throwing at normal velocities early in the season, but were later in the season. I'll be really concerned if Perkins is throwing 91 in May.
  9. I agree with you, but others would complain we are blocking AA guys who may or may not ever see the field...
  10. You can not have a team solely consisting of 25yr old's and younger. You need vet's sprinkled in for on and off the field reasons. There are not metrics for leadership, for off field issues with your girlfriend/wife, language barriers ect. This is not a video game. If the team continues losing games, some of the veterans will be traded and a few vet's will probably be signed in the off season. This is not a rebuild? Buxton, Pressly, Tonkin, Sano, Park, Rosario... If a few more RP's were ready they'd be up too. Sometimes I think you take the opposite view just to create conversation.
  11. I like Rosario a lot, that said I'd never bat him 2nd. Makes zero sense even with the B line up. I think they should go: Escobar, Mauer, Dozier, Park, Sano, Rosario, Nunez, Murphy, Buxton.
  12. Wrap Sano in bubble wrap. Not concerned about Sano. Concerned as usual that again the Twins suddenly care less about defense than they did when they actually won baseball games.
  13. A young line up that doesn't walk and strikes out a ton. People should have been expecting that, it is what they wanted. People would wanted all the youth better be patient, it's going to be a long April.
  14. Cool article! So, I knew the Twins traded Pomeranz. I didn't know we got Junior Ortiz for him. My question, is how did we acquire Joe Ortiz?
  15. I agree if we are looking at 15 days or so. No reason to have Kepler moved up and down for two weeks. If anyone goes to the 60 day, I think it then would be Kepler assuming he isn't struggling or hurt.
  16. I really appreciate Eddie because he is such a good all around player. The only thing that scares me a bit is the lack of walks.
  17. I would have trusted him defensively over Santana in CF. They both likely wouldn't have hit. Thankfully we have Buxton.
  18. I could think of so many problems before Perkins. These comments are just bizarre.
  19. We are worrying about Tonkin getting claimed?
  20. In this case, I'm definitely skeptical of the move. I think Sano should be at first base. If he were to play outfield, he should have got some innings in during his years in the minors. This smacks as a temporary move to me because they kept Plouffe. I do find the injury and fatigue comments hilarious though. I think it would be more likely he gets hurt at third base or at the plate than in the outfield. I'm far more concerned he just won't be a good outfielder.

  22. Don't forget other crazy ones: carrying luggage, feather from a pillow in the eye.
  23. The easiest thing in the world to be is a skeptic.
  24. I don't know if I can watch this team if they trot out Sano, Arcia, and Santana in the outfield. They better score three runs a game themselves, because their defense will give up two.
  25. With these projections of the Twins outfield, I sure hope the pitching improves because the defense looks pitiful.
