  1. And on the replayed Rosario's triple , it would have behooved him to keep the tag on as Rosario overslid. That 3 outs he's handed us.
  2. but my new favorite third baseman dropped it, and tried to give Trevor a chance to behoof it to first in time.
  3. A horse reminds me of Hannah and her horse, but when I think of Hannah, I forget her horse. So it seems a horse reminds me of Hannah. This behooves me to think of horses way more often than I should.
  4. It would behoove us to keep hitting the ball to third...
  5. I find it somewhat disturbing that Brian put a picture of the Mrs. on the top of the Game Thread. While I personally find her extremely attractive, I do think it unwise to post pictures of family members online. There are a lot of weird people out there! Sooner or later one will join TD.
  6. I would too, but Milone is their only LHSP, doubtful he is leaving. I cannot believe Pelfrey has any value. Hunter? I was of the impression he had a no trade? And not only wont they trade him, they are going to extend him, and I bet it's going to be for multiple years!
  7. The Royals are "the now"! The Twins are not. They are the Royals about 4 years ago. It takes patience to stick with a plan, especially when an odd quirk causes thing to look rosier than they are. We spent years building this farm system, let's spend that final year integrating the pieces on the big club!
  8. I would not be able to remember which tier it was in? So where do I put the password for "Realasianmodelsthatwamttomeetme.com"?
  9. Reg Henry of the Pittsburg paper (post gazette)? wrote a column recently on passwords Brian might appreciate. OR, he could have been writing about Brian?
  10. Tip for Brian. Hand wash your finest linens and delicate unmentionables in the sink!
  11. it would make no difference, they would vote it down.
  12. When I think of the Angels I think of Gene Autrey. When I think of Autrey, I think of Trigger. When I think of Trigger, I think of Hannah's horse. And when I think of Hannah's horse, I think of Hannah! Fortunately I do not think out loud!
  13. Your BEST hitters are not necessarily in a game. Maybe a starters day off? Or a hit first, glove second guy. And why the aversion to using a bench guy to pinch hit? Its what a bench guy should be there for. Not just a place to store 4 players contented to give high 5's, smile, and collect MLB meal money. When you have 13 pitchers and an unused bench, it seems that you are tying one hand behind your own back.
  14. The bench is not an impressive lot. But even at that why did Nunez not bat for Suzuki late last night. Either Molitor does not trust his bench at all, or he has an aversion to PH. I think it might be the latter, as he has passed on some seemingly pretty obvious opportunities.
  15. This could explain why I was in the third grade for several years. My mom always told me it was because the teacher liked me so much!
  16. I might add, that any male making a comment on his significant others ability to make a tasty treat actually taste like the aforementioned square miles of finely ground rock, will have his post copied and forwarded to the aggrieved.
  17. This is a perfect example of why spell check is an insidious device. I have let my usual nimble brain atrophy to the point where I can't tell a tasty treat from square miles of finely ground rock! I yearn for the bygone days of yesteryear, when men were men, and women were women, and Bigfoot was Sasquatch, and the Webster was law! .
  18. Whenever we split desert at home, my dad made one cut it and the other got first choice! It guaranteed accuracy by the cutter. But what surprises me is Brian's wife lets him play with sharp objects? . BTW, if I were you I would not be so easily dismissing Bigfoot. Have you saw what he does to those people that do in the Jack Links commercials? So if you have two of the big guys, are they Bigfoots? Or Bigfeet?
  19. Concur. We have very short memories, and sometimes less patience. There is a good chance we will be having a form of this discussion in less than a month over Sano. While I believe you go with the young talent if it's upside is substantially better than the middling veteran, I never expect it to be w seamless, or painless transition. It's all about the long game, not the initial SSS.
  20. They have done this before! See Aaron Hicks!
  21. Knowing Pinto was gonna get hit in the head three times is beyond my psychic abilities, so I would have had to have made that decision with the available knowledge last July, when Pinto had not yet gotten whacked. If my psychic abilities had reached the level of some on TD, I would have kept Ramos, knowing Mauer was going to get foul tipped to death many years later. (Actually I would have kept him anyway).
  22. If the Twins had used Suzuki to try and evaluate Pinto as a starter last year, most of what they did would have made sense. But they didn't. They signed a guy with a long history of mediocrity, who went BS crazy for three months, and then paid him based on that small sample size. And they got exactly what they deserved. Massive regression to the norm. I never saw the rationale to this. If you are going to play a catcher who can't hit, at least play one who is a very good defensive catcher.
  23. The real question is, do you trade prospects for one slim chance at a one and done playoff run? Or do you trust your last 3-4 years evaluation, which has been telling you that you have a special group of talent, some here, but many more in the 2016 wings, and build a long term contender? I don't even think it's a difficult decision. But say you want to to go for it. You need a catcher, a SS, a PROVEN power bat, two shutdown middle relievers, and an ace pitcher. That's if you really are serious about making noise, not just sqeaking in by a half game as a wild card team. This team has a lot of holes. Bite the bullet, and keep filling them internally. This is not a team that needs a rental player!
  24. Are too! Glad you told that one, I heard it about 50 yrs or so ago, and I had forgotten that so many cops came to dig I'm the garden!
