    I Have used the Oliva Arcia comparison many times. He was a terrible outfielder with a great arm and bat! Hmm sounds familiar.

    My pick would be Escobar, who provides the highest floor and least risk going forward. Jorge Polanco also could figure in, but I can't see that he's ready to contribute. I agree with much of the post, and everyone has their personal opinions on players. But I am not looking for players with high floors, I want players with high ceilings. Especially as this is in essence audition time. As far as opinions on players, Polanco seems Santana 2, but without the arm! He is destined to end up looking at the back of Doziers jersey for years. Or, some teams would take a chance, find a good catcher and offer BD as bait. Yes that's dicey, but Suzuki is not going to get any better.

    I thought we were just past the .5 of the season? Another disclaimer coulda/shoulda been: There is no connection between the terms "Dick/Bert" and "medical knowledge"!

    Very nice report. A comment! Please tell me that there are not two teams named the Iron Pigs? If there are then the one in PA must be a reference to the iron industry. And the one in Burlington is a reference to very sturdy hogs!

If I went to them, it might be a different story. It will be a tough decision for whoever winds up getting squeezed.” Looks like TR is going to tell Molitor who goes. Molitor will then pass on the good news, while connecting with the receptive recipient, while TR is on the first plane to Chattanooga!

    You could walk Sano to load the bases, and still not have too much trouble getting the next 3 outs!

    I am glad Dozier is hitting all those dingers, but as a baseball pragmatist I cannot understand why he ever ever ever sees a high fastball? He might hit a single off the other 7 spots in the zone, but up and in to him is just suicidal.

    Is every starting pitcher looking over his shoulder at Santana? And I am not talking about Danny!

    I just came from my granddaughters 4 yr old T ball game. All 6 teams are currently undefeated! And they all get a medal. I think MLB dropped that idea in 2010.

    He must have stopped for a beer and peanuts if AJ got him! Lol

    I have installed at least 4 dishwashers, and have absolutely no idea how to load one, put soap in it, or turn it on. I have found that the less one knows, the better off one can be.

    If you leave them in there about a week, all that water on top of the cups is mostly gone! On the other hand, if you do that, but forgot to start the dishwasher, there may be a new life form living in there when you open the door!

    Maybe it's just me, but I am always puzzled that pitchers keep throwing high fastballs to Dozier. But maybe that's just just me?

    The errors and FP are almost identical, I think Sanatana has better range, and quite a bit better arm. Hitting is, or could be the difference.

    Well in reality, he is! But no he won't be!

    I am one of them "prospect lovers"! But one who does not expect the prospect to turn a team around. That was the job of the mid level veteran who wasn't able to, and won't be able to make any significant contribution. Not do I expect the prospect to be wildly successful, just to get some acclimation, and hopefully have a group of them come together in the future for some long term success! Even after 4 years of ineptitude, I am not willing to settle for short term mediocrity!

    And you top it off with "SS kicking a routine DP ball" and you have the Twins offense in a box!

    So will Santana be re-claimed. He has been hitting better, and the Nunez experiment is really not sustainable. It's generally considered that Polanco's arm is a little weak for short, leaving Santana as the only candidate with the physical tools for the position. As for EE, it appears he has regressed to his norm. This is still the season to find out if Santana will be the guy. Something that could have, should have been done last year.

    It doesn't help your pitchers if your fielding % approaches 50!
