  1. My oldest daughter has a running offer of free lunch if she can ever define it for me, she still hasn't collected.
  2. So were we seeing if Buddy could get out RH, or was Molly trying to save energy and not walk out there?
  3. It's a lot closer to reality than Dicks call on the Shaefer blast!
  4. No, but there are a lot of other things you could be called! I'll start with "no life whatsoever"
  5. Chief, I don't have a pencil and paper to do that math. How many is that?
  6. This game has playoff implications, why the small crowd?
  7. I was not a wrestling fan. I was a 'rasslin fan! The old guys were the best, drive together to a town, vow violence on each other, then head home with a pitstop and drink pitcher beer till they got kicked out. A friend of mine tried it for Verne Gagne, he didn't make any money, but said it was a hoot. He told me not to tell anyone, so everyone keep this under wraps. But he confirmed that the matches were fixed! After that I never bet on Kenny Jay again, regardless of the odds!
  8. Was that the Baron before his haircut?
  9. Boxes of floppy disks! Lol
  10. Some day, many years hence, in a university far away, a student going for he his doctorate in psychology will unearth the archives of TD GT in a cave on the Red River in Fargo. His thesis will be a study of why a small, and I might add insignificant portion of the interweb would not only watch such a sporting event, hosted by a most hapless group of athletes, but also why they would be disappointed in its delay due to inclement weather. He will likely conclude it was but a curious subspecies, long extinct. Working from the uncovered evidence a conclusion was reached on the demise of the last of this tribe. Buried under large piles of excrement!
  11. Waiting for the Great Pumpkin!
  12. So if they don't play? A DH tomorrow? Double the pleasure, double the fun!
  13. No waiting for a restroom!
  14. lol I just watched that Friday night. Btw, that didn't look like the manure we had at home!
  15. Yours ago the good lord would have simply rained down hordes of locusts, days of rain, pestilence, or turned Robbie G to salt! Those were the good old days. Now he makes us listen to Dick/Bert for 3 1/2 hours. (Or More)
  16. I don't think he was calling the BP that early. Most likely Dominoes, "we're gonna need something to eat here before this is over"
  17. Look at the bright side, when you put your umbrella up you won't be blocking anyone's sight line
  18. There's so many places gods wrath might be of use, why waste it on entire Twins season?
  19. Last night someone said 23k, I didn't see the k. Tonight I don't thing all 23 showed up! There is only so much the Target Experience can do?
  20. What's the chances of getting this in before the Ark floats by?
  21. Can Polanco play short for the Twins? Sure he can. Will he embarrass himself, or the team? Doubtful. His bat is not in question, but his glove is a variation of Nunez, EE, Santana, and likely below Florimons. Maybe the real question is not whether Polanco can play SS for this team, it's whether he should? Don't get me wrong, I like Polanco as a baseball player. But the reason I would roll the dice, and put what many say are better glove men at SS like Gordon or Vielma is that Polanco isn't the kind of SS that will contribute to a winning team. Move him to second next year, audition him there, and the others at SS. Another thought. On how many other MLB teams, would he replace the incumbent?
  22. I would keep Santana, maybe flip him during the season, if as expected we remain mediocre. Berrios for sure, as said its sink or swim. Rochester is just delaying a decision. He may not end up and ace, but still be very serviceable. May gets a shot at redemption. Gibson, probably, if for no other reason than its going to take time to sort this out. For the rest, it's open competition, and by open, I mean open, not contract related. Sadly, I bet someone will open a very similar thread next fall.
  23. I hope you are correct in your belief that they will find the right people. But all you have to do is look at the rest of the Twin Cities ML spors teams, and college one, to see how very difficult it is, and what the odds are.the jury is still out on all of them except it seems the Vikings. That's beginning to look like a competent ML operation that will give itself a chance to win. The Wolves and Lynx are owned by the same guy, and are a perfect example of what happens when you make the wrong choice in the FO.
